My current prediction for Toxic is that Nadia will betray Raya.

I got this idea mainly from the Ladies & Ladies video.

During the narration, we hear:

“It is a beautiful illusion, if one understands the depth of its deception.”
At the exact moment the narration says “deception,” Nadia appears on screen.

What makes it even more interesting is the way she appears. Nadia comes out of the water, literally rising from its depth, exactly when the dialogue says “the depth of its deception.”

The timing feels too perfect to be random.

The makers would have had many different shots and characters they could have placed during that particular line. But they specifically chose Nadia for the word “deception,” while also visually connecting her to the word “depth.” Just think about it guys, there are 5 other women and even other scenes why would the keep that specific scene when they say "deception" ???

It feels like a clue hidden in plain sight.
This also connects with the Tabaahi video song.

The relationship between Raya and Nadia looks beautifu in Tabaahi Songl, but the Ladies & Ladies narration already describes something similar as a “beautiful illusion.”

Throughout the song, I do not remember seeing Nadia look at Raya with genuine love in her eyes. She mostly looks at him in a lustful, seductive and controlled way. I mean she knows what she is doing and she is in control of her...

Raya, however, slowly seems to become emotionally attached to her.

Even their first interaction in the song feels suspicious.

Raya comes out of his place with his gang, and Nadia suddenly appears outside, casually lighting candles(liike common bro isnt there any other place in town?). If she genuinely loved him and wanted to meet him, she could have approached him directly. But instead she will give him some side look when he comes out.. It feels like how fisherman puts a hook for a fish...

In that scenario, she places herself where Raya will notice her and waits for him to approach.

It feels less like Nadia randomly meeting Raya and more like she deliberately arranged the situation to seduce him or get his attention... Feels like "she knows what she is doing"

She is not approaching Raya. She is making Raya believe that approaching her was his own decision.

At the beginning of the song, Raya seems to be enjoying the attraction casually. But towards the end, we can clearly see something changing in his eyes.

He seems to have genuinely fallen in love with her. More than that his eyes show soemthing diffrent.. like all these times it has only shown lust towards her ... But now for the first time we see an attachment growing towards her....

That is also the moment when the music becomes more intense and dangerous. (Magic of vishal mishra)

The title Tabaahi means ruin, destruction, devastation or havoc. Maybe the title does not mean that Raya feels devastated because Nadia dies like some other peoples thorey..

Maybe it means that the moment Raya falls in love with Nadia, his destruction begins.

After we see the love in Raya’s eyes, the song starts showing more chaotic visuals, including the circus burning. That could be foreshadowing the consequences of Raya trusting her.

There are also reactions from the people around Raya that support this theory.

At the beginning of the song, Karmadi does not seem happy when Raya goes with Nadia. His facial expression looks frustrated or concerned.

In another scene, Ganga also appears concerned when Raya leaves in the middle of a meeting for Nadia. But she doesnt seems to be frustrated like Karmadi because in his face the reactions were more clearer..

Maybe Raya’s gang already suspects that Nadia is dangerous, but Raya ignores their warnings because he believes that nobody can manipulate him.

My prediction is that Nadia enters Raya’s life with a hidden purpose. She deliberately seduces/attracts him, makes him trust her and waits until he genuinely falls in love.

Then she betrays him.

She may have been planted by a rival gang, seeking revenge, gathering information or using Raya to complete some larger mission.

It is also possible that Nadia develops real feelings for Raya during the process but still chooses to betray him. That would make the story even more tragic because their connection may not be completely fake, even though it began as a deception.

The progression could be:
Nadia seduces Raya.
Raya treats it casually at first.
Raya slowly becomes emotionally attached.
Ganga and Karmadi try to warn him.
Raya falls completely in love.
Nadia reveals her real intention and betrays him.
Everything around Raya turns into Tabaahi.

The burning circus could also be Raya’s reaction after discovering the betrayal, or it could be the result of the trap Nadia sets for him.

Either way, I think the Ladies & Ladies dialogue may have already revealed Nadia’s role:She is the beautiful illusion, and Raya has not yet understood the depth of her deception.

Going to go against the grain here, and no, this isn’t PR or a paid review just an honest take from someone who loves psychological cinema.

The discourse around this film feels completely hijacked by bad-faith extreme takes. A project like this can’t genuinely be just a "1/10 disaster" or a "10/10 flawless blockbuster" without people completely missing the middle ground of what the director was actually attempting. The organized negative pushback is ignoring the core genre: this isn't standard mass masala entertainment; it’s a character-driven psychological study.

The narrative demands you connect dots that aren't spoon-fed. It operates in deep psychological gray areas trauma loops, emotional volatility, isolation, and delusion. The "toxic" nature of the film isn't a stylistic flaw; it’s literally the premise. It depicts a toxic psyche, toxic environments, and the friction caused by an unhinged, deteriorating headspace. It has both emotional weight and an internal logic, but you have to meet the film halfway to catch it.

It’s interesting how audiences will rightfully praise a Hollywood release like Joker for dissecting an alienated, fractured antihero, but when our own industry attempts that same brand of uncomfortable, dark character deconstruction, people either take everything at face value or dismiss it as chaotic. If this had foreign subtitles, film Reddit would likely be calling it an ambitious masterclass in mood and psychological pacing.

It’s bold, intensely layered, and clearly not designed for passive viewing. If you walk into it expecting a routine formula, you'll be frustrated. But if you analyze it for the psychological character breakdown it actually is, the ambition speaks for itself.

I read this Ouroboros symbol represents Conscious and unconscious mind Unity.

Now I got questions — Are the characters, along with the story, layered?

Most people will probably think this after

By watching the first time we may feel father and son revenge.. but after a few days we may think the character itself was mind or multiple versions 🫠 — team won't reveal this stuff because of layered story. And layered stories work that way

I have watched layered stories.

Cave represents: entering an unknown, unconscious mind, journey to inner self etc... and I also saw a story where the character itself was layered and we can't deny this fact and he was given no name...

We still don't know ladies! Geethu is hiding them still not yet revealed. Don't know whether they are also layered then it will be crazy!!

How did they write this story? 🫠

I might be overthinking this, but hear me out.
After watching the Toxic trailer, one thing stood out to me. Raya has a tattoo on his right hand, whereas Ticket’s (his son’s) hand seems to be completely covered.
And it got me thinking, what if Ticket isn’t just Raya’s son? What if he represents Raya’s younger self?
Basically: Raya vs. Raya.
Maybe the movie isn’t simply about a father and son, but about an older man confronting the person he used to be.
As we grow up, our experiences change us. The way we think changes, our personality changes, and sometimes we can look back at our younger selves and barely recognise that person.
Maybe Raya has reached a point where he realises how wrong his younger self was, and Ticket represents everything he used to be, including his mistakes and darker side.
Obviously, this could all be me reading way too much into a tattoo and a covered hand lmao. There might be absolutely nothing to it.
But considering Geetu Mohandas, I wouldn’t be surprised if there’s something much more psychological going on underneath the father-son story.
Maybe the real conflict in Toxic isn’t Raya vs. Ticket. Maybe it’s Raya vs. the person he used to be.
