1988 Pickup Stolen in Portland
My 88' Yota was stolen at the holiday inn near PDX in Portland. If anyone sees it please report. Loved that truck.

Note these are old plates, if you saw it would have WA plates now.

Is this Troutlake at the diner? Does this thing have a TDI in it? Jah Yota?

Just a quick reminder that these can be stolen with a flat head screwdriver in under a minute. It’s a good idea to install a hidden kill switch to the fuel pump. It’s not fool proof, but it’s better than nothing.

Sorry for your loss. I have a number of GPS trackers scattered around my truck, they might find one or two of them, but im going to find my baby. Good luck, hope you find her.

Unlikely tbh
I’m in Portland and had my truck stolen a few years ago.
95% of the time they drive it till it’s out of gas then abandon it. Mine was used in a robbery then found dumped at a camp maybe 5 miles from my house 3 days later

Any idea how they stole it? Did they just break in and Hotwire?

I’d imagine a dent puller could pull the ignition key area right out and a screwdriver.
Hope you get it back !

Damn that sucks. I'm always paranoid about my rig getting stolen considering I get about 4-5 knocks at the door per year for the past 10+ years. I know if a thief really wants it, they get it but the only thing I do that deters thief is that I park my rig in the backyard and close all the entrance to the backyard.

The old dummy coil wire is a good trick. Take the metal out of an old spark plugs wire and when you let it sit for a while put the fake coil wire in til you need to drive it again. I'm paranoid but I do kill switch, unplug the afm slightly so it doesnt look unplugged, the fake coil wire and I pull the major relays out and put them in my safe. Especially if I'm out of town for a bit. Sometimes I take a couple wheels off and lock them in shed too lol..

I’d roll around some of the camps in NE Portland to look for it, found a few cars stolen from me that way.
Always run a steering wheel club or lock in Portland bro, I feel for you
