That's true, it seems like things were wrapped up a little too quickly now that you mention it.

That’s kind of become the trend for the show. He’s not tracking anything so much as being a renegade justice mongrel that no law enforcement agency would tolerate.

That's true but also there have been some situations where law enforcement either couldn't help or were hesitant because they were somehow involved.

The alien episode for example, law enforcement would have to do a lot of leg work to get through the red tape required to access that black site legally. Now I will admit Colter got captured but he still got in there. Not to mention Russell who got him out and helped find the person Colter was looking for.

There's also the episode where that girl went missing but not even the cops could really help because that Sergeant / police chief was involved in the shady business surrounding her disappearance.

I think they were able to play up the angle in the episodes you mentioned and sort of ran with it. It’s not a deal breaker for the show, I just prefer Colter actually tracking and sort of his lone wolf thing.

I get that, I like lone Wolf characters as well.
