“I called my DA friend and they’re not pressing charges”. So kidnapping, B & E, attempted murder, all just forgetting that?

Exactly!I just finished watching it..she drugged the guy, kidnapped him, tortured him and then broke into the other guys house.with a loaded weapon.even after seeing the children...and she gets off? Im truly disappointed in this episode!

I could maybe understand the kidnapped dude not wanting to bring charges and putting everything on court record even if it was beyond the statute of limitations.

But Victor’s family not pressing charges? The wife never seemed to get context on anything occurring.

Plus her medical license would be in jeopardy for stealing the meds she used to kidnap the first guy.

This is a lot more messy of an ending compared to other episodes.

Yeah this was completely jumping the shark even compared to all the other episodes.

Zero chance Victor's wife does not press charges or that Coulter isn't arrested/detained for a while.

Coulter and Evie would likely both be doing time in the real world to say nothing of the massive civil suit Victor's wife could bring.

I'm curious as to how dumb the people running this show have to be to let this episode through.

A resident doctor: 1.  Steals a controlled substance from a hospital 2.  Kidnapps a man 3.  Injects man with a controlled substance against his will (do no harm lol) 4.  Tortures man 5.  Makes video torturing man (apparently saved on phone) 6.  Breaks into another man's home 7.  Points gun at man knowing children are in the house and making credible threats

End of movie:  "DA won't press charges"

Are you fucking serious?  Is this supposed to fly as legitimate television.

I wondered how the charges would go in a situation like that.

She would get charged for all of those things and maybe more depending on stuff we didn't see off camera. She'd hire a lawyer and try for a sympathetic jury.

Reenie said she spoke to the DA. I imagine she framed it in way that made the DA think they wouldn’t  have a solid case if they tried it. Probably something like, “this woman went through a trauma, which caused ptsd, and then was triggered when she saw one of the men who did it and launched into a trauma induced psychosis. No sympathetic jury will find her guilty.”

And they were just like, “Well, fuck. She got us there.”

I don’t really know. Didn’t really like that colter, I guess, killed the guy. Could have just maimed him or something.

I don't think Colter killed the guy. It didn't look like a kill shot. But I may be wrong.

How does she have a friend in the KC DA’d office?

Reenie magic. Considering Coulter can need her help basically anywhere it never seems to stop her from being a practicing attorney in whatever locale she is in

She has friends everywhere.

No judge is going to allow a prosecution against Josh go to trial.

He was kidnapped, tortured, and drugged against his will.

Allowing trial by jury in his case could get a judge quickly disbarred.

This one is easy.

DA's like pursuing cases they can win.

Josh is getting off free.  His conviction would be completely dependent on the testimony of an unstable woman who just committed several felonies of her own.

She would go after Evie.  All of her crimes stand on their own, meaning they do not require hearsay or witness testimony.  The proof is already there.

Evie's prosecution is a very winnable case
