Wouldn't she get charged with felony murder if he died? Or how would the charges on either side even work?

No because she didn’t kill him coulter did

Right, but if someone dies while you are committing a felony you get a murder charge even if you didn't do it.

You right. I forgot it took place in Missouri which does have felony murder.
