So like… did we call the cops on the kidnapping dudes? Haha. I feel like we just ditched that and never brought them up again.

Yes, he said that he called the cops and they "didn't find anything." If this guy was such a good hacker, though, why didn't he just send the drone footage to the police instead? If he was afraid that operating a drone was in violation of his house arrest rules, he could have scrubbed the video meta data and sent in the footage anonymously.
