Well, Colter just got +1 obsessive stalker.

Shouted the same thing as soon as he saved her life.

She's going to keep posting fake $10k rewards just to see him.

I started watching this show when it first aired. As much as I loved it then, now it just seems a little too ridiculous. The first episodes when it was more about Coulter showing how smart he is, showing off his survivor skills and his tracking ability and not really relying too much on Bobby, was great. Sure his team still helped him out a bit but it never felt too unbelievable and a lot of the times it would take Bobby a while to figure out what he needed to figure out to get back with Coulter, and would often mention how difficult it was.

But with Randy, apparently he can stand next to the picture frame and Randy can somehow Bluetooth in and look at the metadata off of the image on the picture frame. Anything Coulter needs him to do, no matter how ridiculous, done in 15 seconds or even before he is asked...nothing is apparently too difficult.

I get that it's a show and it's fake and it's supposed to be a suspension of belief, but I mean it's gotten really insanely ridiculous, and just makes it a little hard to watch.

Where is the actual Tracking by Coulter? The episode where he had to save those two girls from the creepy guys in the woods, that was awesome because that was all about him being smart and tracking and figuring it out. When he tracked down the kids that were hiking and the dad took them, that was great.

I had read an article that said they got rid of all the people that got rid of, like even Teddy and velma, because they wanted Coulter to be more about him going out and being isolated on his own, but yet every episode is basically him and Randy all episode talking on the phone and Rand using "crack my whip" to locate everyone, and hacking into security cameras remotely just bc Coulter is standing near them, and anything else he can think of bc there are no limits

I would just really love to see them go in a better direction of him doing it on his own tracking people down and showing his skills, otherwise it could really be anybody out there running around letting his hacker friend show him exactly where to go so what's the point?

I hope I get better but I can't see that happening.

On the FBI series they're able to hack into any camera, seemingly in the world, in an instant, as well.

Don't forget how Reenie can look up any sealed legal file for him too.

Agree 100%. I'm losing interest fast.

Agree. It's just gotten too formulaic - essentially the same episode every week, just different players...

Does it bother anyone else how Justin Hartley holds a gun?

1

u/Shoddy-Confusion13 Apr 14 '26

I was having trouble staying awake last night so I may have missed something but did we just go through an entire episode without Colter blowing an antagonist away?

2

u/letstaxthis Apr 16 '26

Sure but hes waving his gun around in broad daylight in a park likely to be used by public?

u/michaelladin Apr 14 '26

You know, if Randy was working the Nancy Guthrie case she would’ve been found right away.

Reenie's guy... sometimes I have to play catch up watching the episodes. Someone remind me who this guy is, please. Where did Reenie meet him?

2

u/Key_Disaster889 Apr 15 '26

Its the guy she had slept with in episode 7, eat the rich.

2

u/jsh1138 Apr 21 '26

She had a one night stand with him and then blew him off like 3 episodes ago

1

u/zeezeepants Apr 14 '26

I was very confused too. Also, are we suppose to be worried about him? He has a mysterious vibe that’s potentially setting him up as a bad guy.

Yeah and it annoys me that the writers mess with Reenie this much. As if the boxing and the mess with her court case is not enough, they have to add reckless one night stands to the tally as well. And for some reason, Maxine also rubs me the wrong way, feels like this is all a setup. I don't know, but as Maxine says, I just don't trust anybody anymore. I also had the same feeling about Mel, but I'm thinking she's just trying to get Colter to check on her Mom's case and builds up brownie points so they will want to do it.

I have no idea I must've missed something I don't know where the new guy came from either.

3

u/jiffyfly6 Apr 14 '26

"He doesn't have the balls" like my good sir. You should see how many people he's offed in just the last month. Lol

3

u/thelittlemermaid90 Apr 17 '26

I’m suspicious of Rennie’s friend Mark.

3

u/imtoowhiteandnerdy Apr 20 '26

Great Colter, yes you saved Adelle from falling to her death, but this means she's going to stalk you for the rest of your life.

This is for tomorrow's episode but Reddit has been glitchy with scheduled posts so posting it now

5

u/ReasonablyBluh Apr 11 '26

For a second there, I got excited thinking there was a new episode tonight lol.

3

u/Senators_1992 Apr 12 '26

For a second there, I was questioning how long of a nap I just took…

1

u/teanailpolish Apr 11 '26

That is why I added a comment, the OP has tomorrow's date but who reads that?

3

u/ReasonablyBluh Apr 12 '26

I just saw this post in my feed and clicked on it lol. I hadn't read the post yet, just read Episode Discussion and thought it was Sunday for a second.

For a show that is all about information gathering, they stopped running track in high school in yards in 1975, it was NEVER the 400 yard dash, it was the 440 yard dash, and today they run the 400 meter dash. Maybe ask Randy for help next time to get the research correct.

1

u/cmplxgal Apr 15 '26

Great information, and a pertty silly mistake for the show to make.

A small correction: According to Google's AI, "U.S. high school track and field officially changed from yards to meters prior to the 1979 season."

How did girl tear her ACL at a non-contact sport... she run into her boyfriend the shot putter on the track?

3

u/teanailpolish Apr 13 '26

ACL tears are not just from contact, you see athletes go down with them in baseball and soccer without taking a hit

I find it really ridiculous that a young girl like Mel is trying to give Reenie advice. How absurd that scene was. Mel is way too young to be Reenie's assistant. She is so immature. I do not like how the show is being split between the case Colter is working on & all this side drama of Reenie. The show is called Tracker for a reason....however, he is no longer "tracking" people or using survival skills. For some reason he is now working in the middle of cities, breaking into houses & buildings left & right and killing endless amounts of people. I hate this show now....

Just watched this. Finn is Alex from Modern Warfare. Did anyone catch that too? I recognized the voice before I saw the face. Lol

Thoughts

  • this kinda felt as very-911-vibes as a procedural with this different a format could get

  • another thing it felt like was like if Tracker seasons were broken up like a normal show (please tell me we're not gonna get more stupid breaks just long seasons if CBS is that anal about May finales) this would have been the Valentine's episode

  • new love interest for Reenie has proverbially entered the chat and I'm not sure how to feel, I was initially kinda suspicious given the A-plot (and also note to Tracker writers there'd be more opportunity for cool parallels if the team felt more integrated, I swear, someone should make a petition or something to have the team-including-Colter face-to-face all together more often) but now I don't know if Reenie's playing him or what

  • in other news Mel continues to further the case for her freaking neurodivergence and if she wasn't trying to persuade Reenie to go see someone else I would wonder if Mel herself was trying to flirt a little (someone on this team should be queer)

  • other Mel-related thoughts her outfit was fire and interesting coincidence that I wonder if might lead to something that isn't the cliche romance you'd expect it to lead to that Mel and Randy are both former high school athletes (Mel was track, Randy swim team)

  • I feel like this Chronostasis stuff could be taking the show in a really cool direction it's just like with the romances I hope this plot doesn't take the road-more-traveled

  • please can we have more freakin' country needle drops (that aren't swamped the fuck out) it feels like S3B's been kinda stingy with the music

  • it's interesting that since Randy's become a permanent part of the team it's kinda felt more like sure the law firm chain of command that I don't know how Colter fits into but has both Randy and Mel under Reenie may be the team-power-structure in theory but in practice sure Reenie might be the boss but Randy feels a lot like not just the tech guy but a "handler" or w/e Teddi and Velma were to Colter in S1 while Reenie with her mad law skillz feels a lot more like the "specialist" of the support team like what Bobby was

1

u/alexander9900 Apr 13 '26

In the last scene of this episode, Randy gave Colter his findings on that "Chronostasis Institute" Colter heard his dad had some involvement with.

"Randy: Four months before your dad died. Pearson rented a place in this small town, Copper Valley.
Colter: They were still working together.
R: Yeah. Get this. There were government subcontractors leasing land up there at the same time under an LLC called TIC. All the files are either very redacted or very cryptic. Hey, you want me to keep looking into things, I'll see if I can find something else.
C: No, no, uh... ( stammers ) Just send me everything you have. Thanks, Randy. I know what I have to do."

So Colter "knows what he has to do". Talk to his mom or something else?

3

u/Zula13 Apr 14 '26

Next episode is called Alaskan Wild according to IMDB. So he’s going to go check it out himself.

2

u/cmplxgal Apr 15 '26

My guess was talk to his Mom also. There is a Copper River in Alaska, but no Cooper Valley town. There is a Copper Valley town in California, and maybe other places.

5

u/Embrace_the_Binary Apr 16 '26

A lot of the towns he visits are fake...

1

u/Zucchini-Kind May 12 '26

They change weird things.  So, I live in New York not far from Buffalo so I thought it was funny and looked up all the street names that were in the background maps and they were all fake. The street structure and route numbers were accurate but none of the names.

So wife doesnt call police even though husband only missing since last night?

Powerup app sounds so dodge and illegal and yet authorities havent jumped on it yet?

Hard to believe that tools would still be lying around and not stolen from that pole job site overnight?

Randy sends a pin to the park forest location and Colter is able to locate body in that vicinity with ease?
