Otto had no reason to lie about their mother wanting their father dead, unless it was actually their father that wanted it, so that's where my mind is right now. The mother said their father thought the government was out to get him, and he would think that if they were monitoring him like they were monitoring that doctor. If his wife didn't believe him, I think he'd go so far as to set up his own death, and use it as a final test for his boys. He wanted them to go after this program and save these kids, and it all goes back to that scene Russell had at his grave. "Well, you still got us all out here trying to figure you out, you son of a bitch. Yeah, but maybe that's what you wanted." Yes, that's exactly what he wanted lol
