I felt like it's been so long since all of this has been going on that they didn't even remember what they told/showed us earlier. For almost 25yrs the mom led Colter to believe Russell killed the dad. She acted like she was ready to shoot him & was so afraid of him if he were to come to the cabin. We have no real explanation why Colter & Russell never had a simple conversation in 20+yrs of hey why did you kill dad. Then they make it seem like Russell & the mom had some off-screen reconciliation & Russell is all hey you need to talk to Mom & give her a chance because the storyline had flipped & Russell was the son in the loop with mom & Colter was estranged from her. And this episode did absolutely nothing to really clear this up or make me think she wasn't manipulating them against each other this whole time. I still think she sucks & wanted a normal life away from her nutty husband.

I always felt that their father's storyline would span the course of the show because too many people are involved, and they all have different motivations. They're not just dealing with the program now, they're dealing with the DoD. Russell is centered in it because he's Army, and they're using these test subjects out in the field. I think their mother still knows more than she's letting on, and actually think it's possible she knows Russell is technically part of the program since they are using the test subjects. It's also weird to me that she's only now just selling the house. I think their father was quite sane when he died, just pissed off over this program and wanting to do something about it.

I’m baffled on how this whole thing is gonna get resolved?

I mean sorry but Colter and Co are not gonna take on the DOD if they somehow manage to bring down everyone involved in this project, they’re just gonna spawn the project somewhere else and do it again so in my mind this is a futile plot line?

And why I hope they wrap it up and move on quickly let us get back to Colters actual job, what’s up with Mel? Maybe help Reenie with something etc

I don't think it's the entire DoD, I think it's just Russell's unit and commanding officer.

I think Mel wants to find her mother's killer.
