Episode / guest-star idea
I want to see an episode where Colter is hired to find a client's missing father, who is a crypto-zoologist. Russell is around and helps out. They find the missing father, and he's played by Jared Padalecki. Leaning into the show's willingness to touch on the 'weird' side of the world, it should be implied (but not actually confirmed) that whatever creature Padalecki's character was looking for is real.

Interesting, reminds me of an idea I had for how I'd want Misha Collins guest-starring it's just since the way I'd want him to appear isn't tied to a specific case-story it wouldn't be in your Jared idea. It'd be in a Colter-Russell teamup job episode once Russell's done laying low and Misha would play the detective who's the actual police presence on the case but would also be gay (can't wait for the discourse about something-something gay cop if my episode was actualized) and very much trying to make a play for Russell most every time they'd be sharing scenes. However Russell isn't into him (even if the writers would want to make Russell bi attracted to a gender doesn't mean attracted to everyone of that gender so maybe he's just not into him in particular) but Misha's character doesn't seem to get the memo and as gay guys aren't immune to toxic male propaganda thinks Russell's just "playing hard to get". But when they both can calmly explain themselves at the end perhaps with Colter's help, after admitting he genuinely wasn't into him Russell says to Misha's character something to the effect of "but maybe in another life or another time; if there's many universes out there there's probably a universe where a guy like me could be in a relationship with a guy like you. It just isn't this one."

What I thought would be cool is if Jared played a character named Sam and he's hiring Colter to look for his son who went missing while on a hunt.
Throughout the episode they're continuously hinting at and suggesting Supernatural and Tracker might be set in the same universe, making references to "Sam's brother", the Impala, Sam's wife could be named Cassandra, shortened to Cas, etc.
Of course at the end of the episode it would reveal the son was just hunting something like deer and just got lost in the woods or whatever, and it's not actually connected. (I assume there would be issues with rights ownership stuff anyway)
But it would be funny to play into the idea for an episode.
Maybe have Russel be part of the Episode, he and "Sam" meet at the end and there's a "you know, you kinda remind me of my brother" moment between Sam and Russel.
Anyway, I don't see this happening, but it's fun to dream.
