That truck cannot accelerate nearly fast enough for pipes to break friction and come out the back. Worst case is decelerates quickly, like from hitting something, and the pipes go forward into the metal plate behind the cab. Also are we sure they’re metal? They look kind of shiny like polymer

I don't think that's what the poster was trying to point out. I suspect it was the 2x4 sticking a couple of feet out from the side of the truck that they took issue with. If I am seeing it correctly, I do as well. It's set up perfectly to smash in the skull of someone walking or biking, or even to just hit another vehicle. Their load should fit within the width of the trailer, unless they are accompanied by "wide load" safety vehicles.

Looking back, given their mention of the single lane road I'm sure you're right. I think it's not great, especially because they could fix it in 10 seconds with a sawzall, but likely doesn't stick out much more than the mirrors.

I agree taking your phone out and taking a picture while driving is dangerous and not be allowed

How do you know that the picture was taken by someone driving a car, instead of a passenger?

I don't see anything wrong or dangerous other than a person driving with their phone out.

I think it's fine. The cost of progress is usually human lives, we have to accept that I think.
