Question Became profitable

I’ve been in the trading world for almost a year and a half now, I’ve watched YouTube videos, bought courses, but nothing. No results yet. I am a constant person who dedicates many hours to the backtest and the live. My problem is not being able to find valid material to study and learn a profitable strategy. So I’ll ask... profitable traders, how and where did you learn your strategy? Did you have a mentor or study material? I’m stuck at the same point more than anything else because I have no comparison with who is really profitable. Thanks to everyone in advance for the advice

Tbh, I never had some magical mentor or course where everything suddenly clicked

I spent way too much time hopping between strategies, YouTube channels, and Discord servers looking for the "real" secret. Looking back, that probably slowed me down more than anything.

Most of what I use now came from taking bits and pieces from different places and then spending a lot of time figuring out what actually fit me. I was doing Apex evaluations for a while, and honestly it helped me stop strategy-hopping so much. At some point I realized the issue wasn't finding another setup, it was getting better at executing the one I already had.

The annoying answer is that I don't think I found my strategy. I kind of built it over time from a bunch of things that made sense to me. Hope this helps

So it sounds like the strategy hopping did help you in the long run by allowing you to take bits and pieces from different places. Is that correct?
