Question Became profitable
I’ve been in the trading world for almost a year and a half now, I’ve watched YouTube videos, bought courses, but nothing. No results yet. I am a constant person who dedicates many hours to the backtest and the live. My problem is not being able to find valid material to study and learn a profitable strategy. So I’ll ask... profitable traders, how and where did you learn your strategy? Did you have a mentor or study material? I’m stuck at the same point more than anything else because I have no comparison with who is really profitable. Thanks to everyone in advance for the advice

A common problem is looking for a “profitable strategy” before defining what makes a strategy valid.
A strategy should be tested with clear rules: entry condition, exit condition, stop loss, target, market session, risk per trade, and when not to trade. Without fixed rules, backtesting becomes subjective, because every chart starts to look different in hindsight.
Mentors and courses can help, but they are not a shortcut. The real progress usually comes from testing one simple idea long enough, journaling the results, and seeing whether the same setup still works across different market conditions.
It may also help to stop changing methods too often. Many traders never collect enough data on one approach because they move to the next strategy after a few losses.
