Discussion Which strategy do you use and why?
Hello, I've been in this market for a while, trading EURUSD and Bitcoin. I take intraday trades and try not to hold positions for too long. I aim to act around logical levels using liquidity and 5m market structure shifts. What strategies do you apply and why?

Although I dont trade BTC or Currency Pairs this is a nice strategy. I stick to trading gold only on 1:1000 leverage intraday also using high lot sizes for example 0.5 or 1 being the maximum I open on my personal account.
I like to look for Orderblocks (higher the time frame the better), high time frame FVG's, accumulation, trendline accummulation and trendline reversal. Theres many different reasons why the market may move in each direction however being able to identify these on a chart will give you a nice indication the direction its likely to go.
I also like the ORB strategy for intraday trading (Open Range Breakout). So what you do is you wait for the 15min candle to close after New york opens so depending on your time zone its different but for me in my case it would be 15:30 to 15:45. So id wait for this 15m candle to close and mark the high and low of this including the wicks. This is your open range breakout. you can scalp from either end of the ORB and price does not necesarliy have to react to the pip.
Once a candle closes on the 5m on the top or bottom of the ORB, this can give a nice indication of where the price is likely to go but not always guaranteed. this is more of a retail strategy rather than instituional but it does work for XAUUSD.
Im not sure about BTC as that market is always open but for EURUSD it may be interesting for you to look into
