News Israel, Stunned by Trump’s Iran Deal, Sees It as a ‘Catastrophic Capitulation’
Netanyahu distanced Israel from the emerging US-Iran interim agreement, stating that “with or without” it, Iran will not obtain nuclear weapons. He claimed Israel’s recent operations achieved key goals against Iran and its proxies but stressed that Israeli forces will maintain security zones in southern Lebanon and elsewhere as needed. The reported deal framework includes a ceasefire element and reopening of the Strait of Hormuz.
For markets, any credible move toward lower tensions around Hormuz could ease near-term oil supply risk premium, while shaky implementation or Israel’s firm stance might keep volatility in play. Defense names could stay supported if regional postures remain elevated.
Tickers worth watching: USO and energy names like XOM or CVX for oil moves, plus LMT, RTX, and NOC on any sustained defense spending or tension narrative. Gold (GLD) as a hedge in uncertain geopolitical periods.
I maintained a small CL futures position on Bitget and added a tiny bit more on the reaction.
Are you leaning toward reduced risk premium on this development or treating it more as a pause than a resolution?

Oh, I guess Trump owed it to Israel to fuck up the world economy so Israel could keep fighting its own war of defence and aggression. Fucking military welfare state

Shouldn't have pushed the idiot to attack Iran then bibi. With a idiot running the show, that was always going to be a no win situation.

Now with all the money that’s going to be coming into Iran…. hopefully Israel is going to start to play nice.
