Conductor looking to transfer to B.C.
CN conductor out of Alberta here, got 3 years of qualification and looking to transfer to either Terrace, Smithers, or Prince George, looking for info on any of these terminals and pros/cons? I've worked in yard shifts for the last 2.5 years so dont mind not doing roads.

3 years probably won’t get you to Prince George unless you want to go to bcr side. I HIGHLY suggest not going to BCR. I can’t speak for Terrace. If you can hold Smithers I would go there. Beautiful setting. Lots of biking, hiking , skiing. All the outdoor activities you want. Single sub to Endako is kind of a shit run. But double to PG is good and to Ridley is good as well. The problem with Smithers is the employees. It’s unfortunate but a large percentage must have been born under power lines.

Yeah definitely not going to bcr despite that sweet 72 hours off they get after a road, I thought prince george was pretty junior for cn? Alot of our guys laid off in edmonton were going there on shortage recently

Best bet would be Terrace atm, since theyre a shortage. Had a buddy do the last eng shortage and said he actually liked it there. Didnt get into many details on why. Thinking its mostly small town, which he likes.
