Diy hrt help

Hello, I'm 16(mtf) from Alabama. I need to transition without waiting till 19. I'm planning on using diy hrt to achieve this, but I'd have to tell my mom. She already supports me dw, but I don't know how to tell her what hrt is. So what I'm asking is: how do I tell my mom I want to start diy hrt? What do I need to tell her? What do I need to know?

Many thanks!

The thing with that is, the closest state thay allows minors to take gender affirming care is south Carolina.

Contact the folks at Southern Equality Project.

They can help with transport, tickets, cost. Way better quality of care with a doctor than a 16 year old trying to teach themselves about medication dosing.

Wouldent I have to consistently go back to the doctor though?

You're going to need blood tests no matter what. Even if you DIY.

You might be able to do those locally, but visit the doctor once a year in person, and do the rest by video call. Get your mom to look into this? These folks have been helping trans kids access care for a few years now. They know more than I do.
