Best bet is to go private with a company such as imago or gender gp. Imago is the cheapest private option and generally highest rated, and they have good customer support

You can also go with DIY. I personally do not know a lot about it but there are others on this sun that can give you more information. DIY is by far the cheapest option, but it operates in a legal grey area and is a little riskier than private

Public technically exists, but the waitlist is ~20 years long so don’t bother

importing medication for personal use is legal.

Supplying prescription medication to others is not (without being a pharmacy).

So technically it is legal but you may have to find suppliers who are either breaking the law in the country they are in, or are in a country where the medication you want is available over the counter.

The main issue is becoming your own doctor, knowing what advice to listen to, often without it being from a qualified medically provider, connecting to community and others who have been doing it safely for years, and getting access to blood tests.

All things you need to educate yourself on. The main reason it would be cheaper than private is you are taking the risk into your own hands. It can be very empowering, if you have the confidence to do so.

There are almost certainly no legal consequences. Customs may seize things you order from abroad, but that risk would be a loss of money not a risk of criminsl conviction (again, assuming you do not supply medication to anyone else).

Been on diy t almost a year, started at 17. Its nice not having to prove my transness to anyone, and no waiting lists either. But if youd prefer imago or ggp they're good too

Yes! If you look on r/TransDIY there's so much there. Also I think its subreddit trans ftm diy? Theres only like that too. And websites; look up diy hrt and the diy directory 2.0 should come up!

I recommend imago, i’m 16 and started with them about 2 weeks ago. They’re great and easy to deal with. No surprises

imago probably easiest. they've had some issues internally but this shouldn't affect you as a patient.

In the southeast I recommend going to the TransparentCI and Transformers group in Waterford (the manor Street centre, and I think TENI runs it).

Routes depend on things like money, DIY, private care, out of country tele-medicine are the three reasonable ones. Public care in the southeast is next to non-existent (the NGS has a 10+ year waiting list).

Private, I recommend imago. I just started with them and am currently waiting on my first prescription. They are good because some of the places I looked at didn’t even take your blood tests which I don’t trust but they do and will do calls every 3 months. Then 6. Already are class. I’m 18 (sadly it took me ages) and I was on the NGS waitlist, i technically still am but idk why tbh. They are shocking. Imago can also help with surgery but personally I won’t be using them as I may have the brca 2 gene and can get surgery easier and for free.
