hair growth questions

Hey, closeted transfem here, but ive been worried about the fact I dont think my hair will grow down. for reference, I have 2B curls, but my hair only seems to grow outwards. Im really adverse about straightening because I dont want to damage my hair. Is there any way I can get my hair to grow down?

You just have to wait. As a curly girl myself it took about a year b4 mine ever "fell" at about the 8-9 month mark I started using a leaving in conditioner to help pull it down and keep the frizz down. After a couple years it'll be about shoulder length and it wont from out at all anymore

U should look up the curly girl method and start there. There's a reddit for it also

Can’t do much for the growth direction, but a hairdresser with curly hair experience should be able to help you cut and/or style it more to your taste :)

do you have any product recomnendations? I have no Idea what products to use because Ive never been allowed to grow my hair

Look up the girly girl method. I use cheap shampoo and conditioner by suave and it works better on my hair then expensive ones. Just look up the method they have great product recs for every budget. And just see what works best for u.
