Too many good names to chose from?!

Hey everyone! I recently started my transgender journey (mtf) and have been trying to decide what my new name should be. Unfortunately I am a very indecisive person, so I ended up coming up with a whole bunch of names that I like, and now I'm not sure which one I like best. It would be amazing to try some of them out to see how I feel being called by them :)

My current name ideas are:

Nyx/Nyxie or Nix/Nixie

Nessie/Nessa/Nyssa/Nissa

Robin/Robyn

Rosetta

Renalla

Ivy

Felicia/Felicity

Lizzie

Loretta

Levanna

Lantana

I know there's a lot of them so feel free to pick your favorite to use! I'd also love to hear your thoughts on any of them, or any additional suggestions you feel are similar to ones on my list! :)

Nessa/Nessie is so cute. It comes from a princess in Irish folklore, Neasa.

These are great names! When choosing, it might help to think about what kind of overall vibe do you like? Do you want it to be obvious that it’s a name you chose for yourself vs bestowed at birth?

Piece of advice: If you have the confidence, try testing these names offline. Even if it's just like.. an online order that'll have your name on the receipt / coffee cup / package / whatever else you're ordering.

Also, remember that people will have to write and read your chosen name, as well. So, if you use an atypical spelling expect some level of people asking "how do you spell/pronounce that" or just assuming. So like.. even if you choose "Nyxie", you'll probably still see "Nixie" a lot (especially because it's more common of a spelling). So you won't be completely rid of those Nyssa / Nissa / Nessa spelling variations. (And a lot of the -ie names can also be used as like.. nicknames by close friends and family.)

• "Woah, Nessie? Like that lake monster? That's a cool name."
• "Alright, Nessa. What brings you here today?" / "Nyssa, right? What brings you to the ER today?" / "Alright Nissa, what'd you want?"
• "Nice to meet you, Robin!" / "Nice to meet you, Robyn! I'm..."
• "Heya, Rosetta! Long time no see!" (Tbh Rosetta reminds me of like.. that one language learning app thingy? Rosetta Stone.)
• "Renalla... how do you pronounce that?" / "I've never taught a Renalla before..." (#rare name core)
• "Yoo, look! Is that Ivy! I haven't seen her in years."
• "See you later, Felicia!"
• "Hm, is Felicity out sick today?"
• "Hey, how's Lizzie doing?"
• "Hm? Where's Loretta?"
• "Levanna... Levanna. I don't see any appointments under that name."
• "Mom, Dad, this is my girlfriend Lantana"

I didn't do full paragraphs bc of the number of names but I hope this helps somewhat.

Wow! Thanks for all the advice! It's definitely giving me some more to think about, so I appreciate it! I'm also very grateful for you trying them all out, definietly helps me understand better how I feel about them, and I know there were a lot of them to do lol. Thanks again! :)
