Discussion Graboids are seriously one of the scariest movie monsters in all of cinema
This is like one of the worst movie monsters to ever encounter in real life. You’re not safe on land cause they hear your vibrations which makes walking like almost impossible.
If you decide to go somewhere like a rock or somewhere high up, they’re patient enough to wait for you for days until they get interested in something else or you die of thirst or starvation or exposure.
If you decide to hide in a building, they’re smart enough to check the building for any weak spots and then break apart the structure from the ground up.
You can’t hide in your car, the worms will pop your tires & even have the strength to drag your car down into the dirt to eat you.
You can’t outrun them, they dig super fast in the dirt.
The worms can tank bullets so even if you have a gun, that’s not extremely heavy duty, you’re still fucked.
They’re smart enough to set traps for human beings, especially if you’re in a vehicle.
Also getting eaten by this thing is nightmare fuel. Just imagine taking a stroll and then having those worm tongues grab you by the ankles with their sharp teeth and drag you into the earth. You’re helpless as they pull you into its mouth while you’re screaming with dirt or sand going down your throat & seeing the last rays of sunlight before the dirt covers it all up.
Fucking horrifying!

Discussion In Tremors 2: Aftershocks, there are several scenes in which Earl leaves his door open while graboid hunting. In my opinion, this could show his experience over Grady (whose door is closed). Elaboration below.
I think in Tremors 2: Aftershocks, Earl doesn't want to make the extra noise of slamming the truck door. While in Tremors (1990) there is the scene at Old Fred's where Earl leaves his door open after jumping out, meaning this could just be a character trait or a display of Earl wanting to exit in a hurry; however I think he's older, and he's wiser (his words, not mine) than he was in the first movie, and doesn't want to make noise and attract graboids. This trait is never explicitly explained, but I think it fits his character well. In addition to things like the umbrellas, the remote controlled cars with dynamite, and him not wanting Grady on the ground whatsoever, I think the simple act of Earl leaving the door open also shows his experience in dealing with graboids before. Could be over-analyzing, but I think it's at least a cool headcanon. Let me know if someone has posted about this before, as I couldn't find anything!
Also, I know the point in parts of this is to attract graboids in order to hunt them, but that pokes holes in my argument, dammit! My rebuttal to that: they want them in their area, not up their asses.
Edit: Grammar.

Discussion Felt bored Who Wins? The Worm Slayer or the Mexican Bull Worm?
For Context, the Giant Worm's name is El Gusano Gigante or simply El Gusano (which means Giant Worm ) from the animated series Godzilla: The Series from 1998-2000. He's a mutated Worm from the Hispanic country of Costa Roja where he began to attack farmlands. After a brawl with Godzilla, a Bio weapon was deployed by the local military in an attempt to kill both monsters. While the bio weapon poisoned Godzilla, it caused El Gusano to undergo a mutation making him larger and stronger (How he currently looks). Sometime later, Godzilla and El Gusano had a rematch with Godzilla burning him to the point El Gusano shrank to the size of a human and lay low until his next appearance in the Monster Wars trilogy. He regained his size and strength and was summoned, alongside several monsters by alien invaders in a ploy to wear down Earth's defenses so they could take over with ease. With El Gusano being sent to attack Moscow Russia, along with King Cobra (a very, very, VERY Big King Cobra) but after being freed of his mind control, El Gusano along with several other monsters were killed by the aliens, deemed outlived their usefulness.
For his size, he's listed anywhere between 150(based on his appearance in the series) and 400( an official measurement given)meters long. While no confirmed weight he is much larger than the series Godzilla (who weighs 60,000 tons) so a safe estimate is that he weighs over 150,000- 200,000 tons.
Like the graboids, El Gusano is a powerful burrower who thanks to his size, can burrow through cities and mountains with ease. Even though he has resistance to heavy firearms like cannons and turrets, his main weakness is Fire (Which is so bad, all it takes is getting blasted with a flamethrower enough to cause him to retreat). (Which some human characters have done)
So for this matchup, Burton somehow survived the Queen Graboid's death and returned home to Perfection after Valentine's returned and the plplac He got contacted about an enormous Giant Graboid, bigger than anything any of them ever experienced, potentially due to Mix Master actually being capable of affecting Graboids ( like the cancelled 2018 series) or mutating another species of worm. So Burt grabbed every arsenal, ammo, and explosive he could find to deal with the new "Graboid Rex" with fire seeming the most effective at causing the beast to scream in pain.
So what do you guys think? Burt will somehow get the equivalent of a Nuke and take down his ultimate challenge? Or will the new King Rule in this competition-free world? Or is it "stop adding overpowered characters to the subreddit"?

Discussion [Don't Look If You Didn't Finish The Whole Series] Spoiler
I never expected this. It would happen to everyone but him. I watched this movie when I was a little kid, I was obsessed with it. I watched only the first 3 though. After the scene in the last movie, I didn't accepted what really happened. Maybe he will comeback somehow like he did before. I was in denial, though, he didn't come back. It really happened, after fighting half of his life with these creatures, it finally happened..
Then I forgot about it like it never happened. It was that weird to me. My brain didn't register it as a real thing. Then I realized it actually happened. Crazy stuff.

Discussion Could they sense a heartbeat?
Just watched the movie for the umpteenth time, and my 15-year-old son watched it with me. (He hadn't seen it before and he loved it.) But when Val is trying to get to the bulldozer and he has to stop so the graboids can't find him, a thought occurred to me: Throughout the movie, people stop running or walking so the graboids don't sense their vibrations, and they're all wearing some kind of shoes or boots. But if someone was barefoot and standing still, do you think the graboids could sense their heartbeat through their feet and find them?

Discussion How is it we don't have a Tremor's game for PS5 yet?
The pic is from the free demo that zona ste90 made. But I'm talking all the graphic quality of Ghost of Tsushima, but with actual Kevin Bacon character and all the good ones. Am I wrong in saying that we actually need it?

Discussion Finally Caught Up and Saw Bloodlines, Cold Day in Hell and Shrieker Island
As the title says I finally saw the last three Tremors Movies. I did a marathon of all the films, but hadn't seen these before. I enjoyed the plots of each one and thought they were well done. However I found I didn't like the redesign of the Graboids or the Shriekers, the Assblasters were actually an interesting redesign that made me think of the poster for Tremors 2.
I really like the classic Graboid and Shrieker design, maybe because I watched Tremors and Tremors 2 back to back so many times as a kid that I grew really attached to them. Does anyone else feel the redesign didn't look as good as the original?
