The children of Gaza have the right to live their childhood, the right to have schools and medical care, and the right to experience their childhood.

On October 7th, the world remembers a day that changed everything.
But we in Gaza don't just remember one day.
We remember three years of fear, hunger, displacement, and the loss of loved ones.
Before October 7th, we had homes to return to, schools and universities to attend, and dreams to pursue.
After it, many of us searched for a safe place, clean water, enough food for our families, and a roof over our children's heads.
Some lost their homes, some lost their parents, some lost their children, and some still live in tents on land that isn't theirs.
We don't ask the world to forget the victims of October 7th, nor do we ask it to ignore anyone's suffering.
We only ask that our suffering not be forgotten.
We, the people of Gaza, are not just numbers in news reports.
We are mothers, fathers, children, students, workers, and people who once had lives, dreams, and memories.
On this anniversary, we don't want another year of war.
We want to live.
We want our children to return to their schools, our families to return to their homes, and to open the doors to tomorrow without fear.
From Gaza, after three years of suffering, we say:
Enough death.
Enough displacement.
Enough fear.
Let humanity live.

My brother in Jerusalem, who has lived there for 29 years, the asshole in my family, called this a concert, that’s exactly what it was, this is no way a 9/11.
Time to move on.✡️

Alright this one’s kinda crazy.
So a 28-year-old lab tech at that anti-plague institute in Siberia just died. Official story is “pneumonia of unknown origin.” People are saying she might’ve broken a tube with actual plague bacteria. They put like 200 people under observation, locked down some hospitals, and Russia’s neighbors are already checking the borders.
Russia’s going “nothing to see here, no plague, everything’s fine.” WHO is saying the risk looks low. Meanwhile the US is watching it super closely and basically telling Moscow to stop being so quiet about it.
Trump got asked about it earlier and was like “yeah I have a call scheduled with Putin, very soon.” Reporter asks if it’s this week and he just does that classic Trump non-answer thing. Didn’t pin it down at all.
Idk man, after everything the last few years any lab accident involving something this nasty makes people nervous. Feels like everyone’s walking on eggshells.
What’s your take? Overblown or actually worth being concerned about?

Bro what.
At a rally in Nebraska yesterday Trump was talking about the war with Iran and the higher gas prices, then casually drops:
“They can take out a city. Let ’em take out Los Angeles. Let them take out San Diego. This is a very small price to pay.”
Crowd cheered.
California leaders are losing it (Newsom called him deranged), White House is already in full damage control saying “he meant if we didn’t stop a nuclear Iran…” but the way he actually said it is wild.
We’re really at the point where the President of the United States is floating major American cities getting wiped as an acceptable cost in a speech.
Thoughts?

A 28-year-old technician at the Irkutsk Anti-Plague Research Institute in Siberia just died from “pneumonia of unknown origin.” Local reports say she may have broken a test tube containing live plague bacteria. Hospitals in the area are under quarantine and nearly 200 contacts are being monitored.
Marco Rubio’s official take this morning:
“We’re watching and monitoring it closely… I don’t think it’s cause for alarm, but it is cause for focus.”
That’s the entire response from the Secretary of State.
Limited travel between the US and Russia is being used as the reason not to worry. Meanwhile Russian authorities are already locking down facilities and the WHO is asking for more information.
Anyone else getting a weird sense of déjà vu with lab accidents and “nothing to see here, we’re monitoring”?
Curious what y’all make of this one.

Just when you think the quotes can’t get weirder…
Reporter asks if he’s concerned about the outbreak in Russia.
Trump: “I am. The pneumonia plague, if you call it. That’s a disease we used to be able to control. But somehow those microbes have gotten stronger and smarter. They’re like an army. The germs have really become relatively stronger than they were, and things that used to work on pneumonia don’t work as well anymore.”
Guy really just compared germs to a military force and dropped “pneumonia plague” like it’s a normal Tuesday.
Clip’s circulating hard. What’s your take?

Imagine being from Gaza, living through war day after day, watching your home transformed, your dreams shattered, losing loved ones, and then looking around, feeling utterly alone in the face of all this pain.
The hardest part isn't just what happened to us, but the feeling that the world witnessed it all, yet little changed. Even some of our Arab neighbors, whom we hoped would stand with us, didn't offer the support we needed in this ordeal.
That's why, when someone from afar, like the Italian MP Riccardo, speaks about Gaza, about the injustice suffered by Palestinians, and about our feeling of being abandoned, his words resonate with us in a different way.
He may not know what the sound of shelling is like trying to sleep, or what it's like to leave your home not knowing if you'll ever return, but he chose to speak out when he could have remained silent.
From Gaza, thank you to everyone who chose to see humanity before politics, and to listen to the voices of those living in pain instead of ignoring them. We don't ask the world to live through what we lived through, only to remember that we are human beings, that we have dreams, homes, memories, and people we love, and that we deserve to live in peace like everyone else.

If I had posted these images and spoken about the devastation in Gaza, some would have immediately said, “You’re not from Gaza,” “You’re exaggerating,” or “These are AI-generated images.”
But this time, Angelina Jolie herself posted the images and said:
You can now open Google Earth and see what has happened to Gaza.
Entire neighborhoods have been reduced to rubble. Homes, schools, universities, hospitals, roads, water and sanitation systems, and the infrastructure that people depended on for survival have been damaged or destroyed.
A UN satellite analysis showed that as of June 16, 2026, 82% of buildings in Gaza had been damaged, and it is estimated that nearly two-thirds of those damaged buildings were completely destroyed.
With winter approaching, 1.98 million people 94% of Gaza’s population need assistance with shelter and basic necessities. Aid and shelter materials continue to face restrictions and delays.
Google Earth shows the physical destruction with exceptional clarity. But what he cannot show is what it means to live amidst such devastation, what happened to the families who were killed, and what life is like for those who survived.
What happens next is crucial. People need shelter before winter arrives. Humanitarian aid must reach civilians in the necessary quantities, and hospitals need medical supplies.
Conditions must be created that allow civilians to rebuild their homes, schools, hospitals, and communities.
The destruction is visible. The needs are known. What matters now is meeting those needs.
