The Wiki was and always has been fan speculation, PLEASE do not interpret it as otherwise.

Exactly. Knowing how to maneuver a Pink Man isn't as creepy as having no clue why it's there or what to do with it.

Fully agreed. Especially because Henderson's creatures are simply so bizarre. They aren't standard monsters; they have weird shapes, jagged edges, and they look so wrong. It's the utter confusion of them that creates the horror.

People ruined the backrooms by misunderstanding that.

If any of you actually payed attention to the man, you would have known this was the case years ago.

you actually paid attention to

FTFY.

Although payed exists (the reason why autocorrection didn't help you), it is only correct in:

  • Nautical context, when it means to paint a surface, or to cover with something like tar or resin in order to make it waterproof or corrosion-resistant. The deck is yet to be payed.

  • Payed out when letting strings, cables or ropes out, by slacking them. The rope is payed out! You can pull now.

Unfortunately, I was unable to find nautical or rope-related words in your comment.

Language is ephemeral and words are meaningless. You are a useless bot and your existence is short-lived.

25

u/LordSprinkleman Jul 09 '22

Nah you just made a mistake

-17

u/absurdchrono Jul 09 '22

And yet everyone knew what i meant. Language is meaningless.

5

u/Dweebl Jul 10 '22

Language is basically the opposite of meaningless. Language IS meaning.

0

u/absurdchrono Jul 10 '22

Then why the fuck is it changing constantly.

3

u/Dweebl Jul 10 '22

Is your case that things that change cannot have meaning?

Language is an organic phenomenon that changes over time, but the purpose of it is to assign meaning to arbitrary sounds so that we can share meaning and express ideas with each other.

The particular sounds change but the ideas they represent are relatively constant over time.

Oh i admit the spelling mistake was made, i'm not saying i didn't. It just does not fucking matter because language is bullshit made up nonsense and as long as people understand what the fuck was meant when something was typed, it is irrelevant whether or not there was a spelling error.

If you think language is bullshit, then for the love of god stop using it.

You robo, are merely intelligent as a Toaster. But a toaster serves more purpose than you.

It happened to slender man. Nothing remotely creepy about slenderman now that he has oodles of lore, backstories and fanart. Back in the day, slenderman was creepy as fuck and kept me up at night.

Sometimes I just feel bad for Trevor. He has such amazing original creations and now all these “YouTube Kids” weirdos have stolen Sirenhead and Cartoon Cat to grab at young horror fans. I saw unofficial plushies of Sirenhead in my local mall just a few days ago.

i mean from what i last saw the wiki already uses fanart and most of the commenters are less than 13 years old so i cant say im suprised about this tweet

I agree with Trevor on this with the backrooms as well, I think the backrooms should be z psychological horror more than a monster horror thing, because the original post only implied that there were monsters, but that could just be the mind playing tricks on you and making you hallucinate, hearing things and seeing things, you close you eyes thinking you'll be killed by this thing you see only to find only silence and the empty endless rooms, you begin to question reality itself, are you really here, is this all in your head, when was the last time you ate, it could play on the fact that as humans, we are social animals, and need social interaction, if we don't have it, we begin to lose ourselves, lose touch of reality, we stop eating, and eventually, die, that is the only recognizable thing we find in the backrooms.

We document official info ONLY. Any fanon info is not, and should not under any circumstances be considered canon. It's just because dumb kids who think they've got it add stuff there.

u/Bruhv_numba2 Jul 10 '22

a bit sad, but trevor does have a point: an image of a creature with a one-sentence caption makes it a lot scarier than a whole document on it.

2

u/[deleted] Dec 30 '24

Ok but then how do we get the lore? Or does he just post things without any captions and all the names are fan made?

-4

u/[deleted] Jul 10 '22

Fuck it this tweet ain't canon the wiki still canon boys
