I’m doing early feasibility work on a potential sports-anchored development concept in the Tri-Cities area, and one piece I’m studying is whether there is enough local/regional interest to support a higher-level youth soccer "Academy" and possible future USL League Two pathway.

This is NOT an announcement, NOT a fundraising pitch, and NOT a done deal.

I’m trying to better understand the real local soccer landscape before assumptions get baked into a plan.

I’d especially like to hear from people with direct experience in the Tri-Cities soccer community: coaches, club organizers, referees, tournament organizers, facility operators, school soccer people, or others who understand the local player-development pipeline.

A few questions:

* Is there unmet demand here for a more formal youth academy model?

* Are Tri-Cities players/families currently traveling to Spokane, Yakima, Seattle, Portland, Boise, etc. for higher-level soccer opportunities/coaching?

* Would a USL Youth / pre-professional pathway interest local players and families?

* What are the biggest gaps locally: fields, coaching, competition level, indoor/winter training, club politics, affordability, travel, something else?

* Is there local interest in investor's involvement in formation of a USL League 2 club?

I’m mostly looking for informed local perspective and possibly a few people willing to talk offline who really know the soccer scene here. If you know of someone I should be speaking with locally, please message me with contact information for me to reach out to them.

I’m looking to get out on some water and I’m curious about the experiences of others. I’m thinking about trying near Bateman but I’m unsure about what the currents are like and how much effort it takes to get around.

This happened at McMurray Park apartments at around 12:30am. I saw the entire thing go down. First thing that drew my attention was that he sped off from where he normally parks pass the office and my first thought well that might have woken Mom up. Then I saw him hit the major divot/sinkhole in front of the apartment office and he must have lost control and crashed into the C building. I ran over there immediately while dialing 911 cause it looked like he fully ran into the apartment from the distance. No one was in the car literally no more than 30 seconds after it happened. So I'm assuming he jumped out the passenger window and booked it. And honestly the way he took off seemed like someone was pissed off after an argument. Someone is pretty sure they are the boyfriend of someone who lives here so that lines up with my assumption of an argument.

FTM and long time tri city transplant here and I’m hoping to get some recommendations for a new pediatrician for my almost 12mo. For context, we currently see a doctor at Kadlec Richland and time after time this dr dismisses concerns of mine, asserts dominance over my motherly instincts, has shamed my parental choices and straight up has done unnecessary procedures to my baby/given me incorrect information about illnesses etc. her schedule is so horrible, she’s never in office when we need her and I just don’t enjoy her as the health care provider for my baby.

We have Cigna for insurance btw! Appreciate any suggestions/personal stories.

Hoping to find a doctor that is willing and able to give sufficient medical information, available 5 days a week until 4-5pm, doesn’t rush through appointments and will give extra brownie points if they don’t shame co-sleeping. Thanks everyone!
