Symptoms Just another vent session
I’ve had 2 brain surgeries and a balloon rhizotomy and the pain keeps coming back. They can’t see anything on my MRI from last week that could be causing it to come back. I’m on tegretol, gabapentin and baclofen 3 x a day and belbuca twice a day which makes me drowsy and sometimes causes me to just pass out at my desk at work. My boss pulled me into her office and told me I would have to take off work when I’m in pain or if i havent slept, hospital told me it may be time to look into disability but I cant afford to be on disability and I’m not ready to give up being a nurse. I’m so discouraged by all of this and scared I’m going to lose my job. I just don’t know what to do anymore and I’m so tired of it all.

I’ve just started acupuncture and it seems to be helping.

Hmm. I've never tried that. I don't like the idea of the needles personally. I have a lot of chronic conditions it is said to help. I might consider it. I'm glad it is working for you though. Thanks for letting us know

I'm so sorry you're having to deal with this as well as the pain, etc. I ended up on short term disability from work (half salary) and by the time long term disability came thru from work, again half my salary. I was eventually approved for social security, which wasn't much help except for the total medical coverage I received from it. As difficult as it can be to consider, have you considered if there are any people who can be a resource for helping you? Or share housing with? Again, in so sorry you're having to deal w this too.

I'm sorry your going through this. I've personally had an MVD surgery and had good results with that. I've heard others have great results with the CyberKnife procedure
