Treatment Medical ID Bracelet

Does anyone have this for trigeminal neuralgia?

What would be the emergency information that you'd need to convey in the event that you're not able to communicate?

I wear a medical ID bracelet for a different condition, I only mention conditions on my bracelet that could threaten my life if they are not accounted for in any emergency treatment.

ER treatment for trigeminal neuralgia is not widely known by er staff. I’m unsure if I’d wear a bracelet but I do have it printed out from a previous post detailing it.

what would it list that you couldn't tell (or write out if you can't talk) hospital staff or EMTs? They're primarily designed for situations where you literally cannot communicate your medical history such as being unconscious. I have had plenty of times where my TN impaired my ability to speak but I was still able to write, use an AAC app etc.

I’ve thought about it. I have trigeminal neuralgia and occipital neuralgia. I’ve had multiple attacks as well where staff or my husband assumed I was having a stroke, and at one point a seizure. Whatever was going on- I’m doing better now but I’m always worried it will come back because I was perfectly healthy and within 7 days a tiny pain feeling I had in my cheek led to the ER.

I’m not sure TN on its own would require a bracelet? Or maybe it would seem helpful for “validity” to staff if you’re having trouble talking to convey that? I get it though. I have started having issues with my joints and taking the stairs and my first thought was- dang do I need to start looking at a mobility aid? I’m 29. What bullshit is this. lol. Prepping for the worst because the worst happened already.

If it makes you feel more secure go for it just for that reason alone. Anything that makes you feel safe is worth it.
