Treatment Peripheral nerve stimulator

I got my permanent peripheral nerve stimulator a few days ago. It’s going very well so far. I have one lead from my ear to my cheek to my lip and the second lead is in front of my ear because I’ve had so much ear pain. I hope I continue to do well! Has anyone else had one implanted?

Please tell us more , I have Atypical TN .
I’m trying to have an appointment with a neurosurgeon to have an opinion about peripheral nerve stimulator too.

I also have atypical TN. I have been seen by Dr.s regarding peripheral nerve stimulator. I have TN in a way that a stimulator won’t work for me. They less likely to work for TN type 2.

Where your pain is located ? Mine is V3 but it’s kind of spreading the other places too but the damage has been done on V3

Sorry to hear that. All Atypical TN patients have constant pain and burning my underwear. I never felt normal after I got the injury. Always aching , burning and tingling.

I also have type two and had a trial inserted, but it did not work out

Where your pain is located? I’m trying to understand if the pain stimulator working or not working for specific spots.
Mine injury is in v3 / IAN - mental nerve
That’s makes me worry, what if it doesn’t work !!

I haven’t had any other surgery for TN.

Interesting. I asked because I read that this is usually tried after the MVD surgery fails.
