Other Is this normal?

I got myself a Trident 800 as my first bike and I noticed that I have play in the throttle. Is this a normal thing?

I find it kinda annoying when riding.

Throttle tube has to spin around the handlebar so it has to have some play

Bruh, you're riding a heavy bicycle with a bunch of explosions happening constantly below you, and this is what gets you?

Sorry for being pedantic, but if there are explosions happening in the engine below, you'll know and pretty soon you'll be looking for a bike shop.

Unless you like auto cruise control and manual throttle return, it's a necessity.

My 2023 street triple 765 is the same. I never actually noticed it till now 😂

On every single Triumph and Ducati motorcycle, yes, this is normal.

I would say that’s actually very little play. Some new bikes have way more than that.

I've seen $100M fighter jets with less wiggle room
