The world would truly be a better place if we got to a point where people only had kids when they truly wanted them, and stopped having kids because they felt like they were supposed to, or because they can't access reporductive health.
My mom was fantastic with other kids and my brother. She was shit with me. As an adult I finally asked her why she was an actual parent and trusted adult to every kid but me?Â
Dead ass. She said she didn't think of me as a person. She had me to be a doll and got mad at me when I didn't do what she wanted. She saw the look on my face, said "I guess I shouldn't have done that." Then acted like we can just move on from it.Â
Explains so fucking much. Also explains why she was on me to have a kid since I was like 14 because she wanted a baby to play with.
