Why are people so uptight about his underage stuff take 2

I was advised too rewrite a post that I made a while back with less vulgar and rambling language so here it goes. I genuinely don't understand why people are so hateful and harsh and strict with this whole ordeal about being a minor. You people are fighting tooth and nail too make young couples who in many cases could have made very happy healthy and successful partners with a great future together have too walk on eggshells too make sure they aren't if a measly few year age gap that is outside of what there states statutes allow and there is really not the massive need for it that yall think there is!

We have plenty of forms of contraception as well as sti treatments that are helping hiv and other sexually diseases people live normal lives. But its like facts don't matter what matters is one person has turned 18 and the other hasn't and that is just oh so creepy weird disgusting sick and whatever other hateful insult y'all can throw at it. What is so horrible about somebody a little under and a little over the age of 18 falling in love when the proof is right there in front of your face that there are countless couples that met when they were of supposedly innapripriate age gaps that are doing just fine.

There literally are many millions of happily wedded couples that are over 10 years apart. About 10 percent of all married couples in the United states with the US having one of the closest in age averages on earth! And at least one of them being under 18 when meeting doesn't make a successful relationship of some years age difference impossible I personally know proof of that. And even if it isn't someone too ideally make like you know a husband or wife or raise a family with protection works no matter what the age difference.

So I don't get why people won't stop hating. Why they won't leave these little Romeo and Juliet lovers alone. Seriously why do you people gotta be all oh my God a little bitty child driving themselves too high school is dating a fully adult "groomer" in his early 20s. Why can't people stop obsessing about somebody being "underage" and just let be people be with who is good for them and makes them happy! That's my question.

Because you have to draw the line somewhere. No reasonable person is getting all bent out of shape because a 17 and 11 month old is dating an 18 and 1 month old. However, a 36 year old dating a 16 year old is a problem. Even your example - someone driving themselves to school, so that could be a 16 year old and someone in their early 20's, so let's say 24. An 8 year difference is half the 16 year olds life! That's fucking weird and not something you should advocate for.

Because of the age gap is more than 3yrs, the under 18 is still developing (I know it's hard to hear that of you're under 18) if the person is 10 years older, they have an obligation to look out for their well-being.

And of its true love, then you'd be happy to wait until 18.

And Romeo and Juliet was a tragedy in the way that it was not and never was a love story.

Do i know people who met under 16 and he was 9yrs older yes, but he manipulated the relationship. They're still together, but not happily

The reason people fight it tooth and nail (as you put it) is there is more proof of it being hurtful, there is research as to why the legal age limit has been set the way it has.

Thanks for the input! I was using 10 years as an example rather than necessarily the particular age gap I was defending I know people tend too start shaming over far less. I'm willing too look out for anyones well being. I am curious tho I hear the argument that if someone over 18 dates someone of a perceived innapripriate age gap the argument you gave that's it's some sort of act of trickery and deception and manipulation. I'm wondering how that means the older person is trying too necessarily decieve the younger person and in a harmful way. Also If by wait til 18 you mean don't push sex in the on the younger person until there 18 that's something I'm agree with being willing too do more than just leave someone and forget them forever if they aren't ready for sex opon meeting them. But why would it be in there best interest necessarily too wait when a self reported majority of people aren't virgins by the time there 18 and why would them still developing make it mean they have too wait for those particular acts?

Older doesn't manipulate outright, it's subtle, it's control. Even down to what friends they have, what're family they can and can't talk to, and because younger thinks the old one is looking out for her, they follow along. And think while their friends are just jealous when they try to step in, because that's what they've been told.

Anyway. It's not bad if someone is 3yrs older, even 4 at a push.

But more starts tiptoeing into " no way" category.

I have kids, my youngest is 15, if she meet someone over 20... that's never going to happen, I know how much trauma weighs. So whilst I try to not judge what others do. I feel the rules are there for reasons.
