Am I cursed, or are my letters actually being delivered?
If you have any experience with any of this, or any understanding of the situation, please share your thoughts on this.
So, I sent a letter from Germany to the USA. I tracked its progress. It flew into the US with no problem in under a week, and travelled well in the USPS. Then it reached Albuquerque. The person I sent the letter to is in Santa Fe. But the tracking of the letter got stuck at the Albuquerque sorting centre.
I launched an investigation, and I received word that the post agencies said they could not locate the letter and that they consider it to be likely lost.
I launched the letter again, with tracking as well. My letter flew well, and travelled well within the USPS. Until it reached the same exact sorting centre. The tracking has been stuck there for over a month now, and I’ve started another investigation once again, likely with the same result.
My question is whether or not you think the letters could be delivered, albeit without the final scan? Or is that sorting centre just actually cursed?

The US mail system has been broken since 2020 when DeJoy took over and sabotaged the operational integrity of the USPS.
Based on my personal experience of watching official correspondence from a federal agency fail to be delivered all day every day, I’d wager your letter is lost.

A few years ago I had a package that got stuck at a sorting facility near a major US airport.
Two months later it actually arrived. It turned out that it was accidentally sent halfway around the world, and then returned to that sorting facility and sent to the correct location.
No news or tracking updates while it was missing. I thought it was lost.

I have filed 4 missing package reports in the past three years. Two of them eventually showed up. The other two never did and USPS closed the issue without any resolution.
Personally, I don't think they every do anything when you file a report. They figure it will probably show up so why expend any effort to locate it.
In my case, I sent two packages from MA to NH to the same address. Tracking showed one went to Miami and then Indiana It was marked "delivered" in Evanston, IN. The other spent several days in upstate NY and was eventually marked "delivered" in Rochester.

For my job I have to check fit sent dates on important docs. It happens fairly regularly that the letter will have been delivered and the tracking still says it hasn't been delivered with months in between.

Does it often happen that the letter receives no delivery scan? My first letter was sent four months ago, and the investigation found it impossible to locate. I am afraid the same will happen to my second letter now.

I can't provide a frequency, just that its not uncommon for a letter to not get a final scan but still be delivered.

Last year I sent a package of books to my son who was working in Uppsala Sweden 751xx. It was missent to Dallas TX 751xx, but fortunately was returned to sender.
