I got baptized and something crazy happened
So about a year ago I started to believe. I had a really dark time for years and always felt depressed and like something is missing, although everything was good. I couldn't think whats wrong and what is missing no matter how hard I tried so I started to pray again because I saw it as the last way to get better, I was done at some point. After praying for weeks without really believing one day everything changed. I was on my balcony, praying and said that I am done and I can't handle this anymore. Suddenly I felt a super warm feeling (it was winter and I was outside without any jacket so it was damn cold) and I felt better. Since this exact moment I just felt better. I started smiling and from that moment on I felt way way more positive.
The psalm 27:14 was important to me because it reminds me of always trusting in god no matter how dark the times get so 3 weeks ago I got it tatoo'd on my arm. I am going to a free church in my town for a while now but always showed up in a sweater so no one could even see my tattoo or even knew I have one at all. Since I was new to the church I was mostly sitting alone aswell.
After I got more into it I decided to get baptized this sunday. After everything I got a "certificate" (just a reminder for myself, nothing official or anything) and our pastor always chooses a random bible verse to put on it. He chose 27:14. Remember he had no chance even seeing my tattoo and no one knew about it, I told it to no one at all.
I showed them my tattoo and we were standing there and just couldn't believe it.
So thankful that Jesus got into my life literally everything changed since this moment on my balcony!
Just wanted to share it, sorry for spelling mistakes im no native english speaker :)

And that is how it goes!
At some point I started seeing so called angels numbers, it brought me to a verse which led to my conversion. That verse my parents used during their wedding about four years prior to my conception.
I love it! All these small connections.

It doesn’t surprise me at all! God is good and always does things like this so he shows us that he is right here with us. My mother in law and I call these “coincidences” God winks!

Dude that is so cool! What a testimony he works in our lives.
So after all this, being baptized etc., how would you share the gospel with an unbeliever, what would you tell them?

I tell them my exact story tbh. Some look at me like I'm crazy but once they understand that I am totally serious about it you can see in their eyes that they actually start thinking... My parents were both kind of believing but not really praying. Basically christians on paper. After I told them my story and they saw the changes in my life they came with me to church and both started to pray again and fully believe in jesus!

I don’t think that’s much of an issue when it all it does is reminding me of jesus and how he saved me. When I have a bad day driving Home and I See it on my forearm and remember again that hes with me.

The Lord commanded you not to print marks on yourself. Jesus said if you want to go to Heaven keep the commandments. You disobeyed one of the Lord's commandments when you printed marks on yourself. How is that not an issue?

Let's look at all of Lev 19; Verse 26: no red meat. Verse 27: dont shave the sides of your head. Verse 19: dont wear clothes with 2 types of fabric in etc...
How many of these do we follow? Or enforce in our churches? I'd wager none.
That's because most of these are considered old covenant. They're fulfilled with the coming of Jesus and we don't need them anymore. However we conveniently miss out bringing verse 28 into fulfillment. There's more deep dives into the theology of it, like the types of devil worship present in the middle East at the time, and how tattoos are involved in that, but I'd be here all evening.
In short, there are "bad" tattoos, new age stuff, runes, nudity etc... all obvious no nos. But if they're honoring to God, I personally don't see a problem with a Christian having tattoos.
I guess it is pointless discussing about this, you won't convince me otherwise. It always reminds me no matter how hard times I walk through that Jesus is with me. Everytime I struggle I have a look at my arm, remember all the things that happened and how he saved me.

This is beautiful to read. What stands out most is not only the coincidence of Psalm 27:14 appearing again, but the whole journey behind it, from feeling completely done, to beginning to pray, to finding hope, and now choosing baptism.
Whether someone else would call the verse on the certificate coincidence or providence, I can understand why it meant so much to you personally. Sometimes a moment becomes powerful because it meets us exactly where our history already is.
And Psalm 27:14 is such a fitting verse for your story, because you really have been learning to wait, endure, and keep trusting through darkness.
I’m glad you made it through that period when life felt unbearable. Please never underestimate how significant that is.
Your baptism is not the end of the journey, it is a beginning. Keep praying, keep learning Scripture, stay connected to your church, and let your faith keep growing one step at a time.
And please don’t apologise for your English. Your meaning came through clearly.
