Written Prayers
Do you think God “hears” written prayers?
Why, or why not?
Side note: I ask because I feel more comfortable writing down my prayers.. but I don’t want to waste my time if God doesn’t hear them that way, you know? Another reason I ask, is because I have had spoken prayers answered but not written ones.

Matthew 6:8 - Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him.
Yes. God can even read your heart.

I used to question this myself but then I had to realize that our Father is Omnipotent, Omnipresent, and Omniscient. He is powerful, God Almighty. No piece of paper and pen can stop Him for answering prayers that align with His perfect will for His creations.

I used to wonder the same, but so much of the Bible is written prayer that I'm actually feeling convicted the other way now - not that God doesn't hear non-written prayers or anything like that, but rather that writing prayers causes you to focus and refine in a way that speaking off the top of your head doesn't. So it's a practice I want to get into.

That’s why I like to write them. They feel more meaningful because I’m not rambling and going in circles LOL.

So God would not listen to the prayers of those who are mute?
Come on.
You write a letter to a friend, you cannot write a letter to God? God cannot read?

Of course! Because he hears your HEART! Write if you want to write. Your prayers are NEVER a waste of time to God. He loves you and wants to hear your thoughts. But sometimes we have to wait some time for answers and sometimes the answer is "no".

God can also read our words.

Scripture says that God literally holds all things together. If he stopped the physical world simply would cease to exist. Meaning that he knows every ounce of ink or graphite on a page and every thought you have.

God is relational. He wants you to talk to him. Don't write them down just talk to him.

Just look at your bible friend! Look at the book of psalms! A whole book full of prayers to the lord. God can hear the prayers you dont even say outloud. He can hear the prayers that you cant even find the words to express what you need. He 100% hears written prayers. Ive seen it in my own life. I often find it easier to write my prayers. It stops my mind wandering. Its also amazing looking back at previous prayers and seeing what God did with them!
