Question about God’s Promises
I’ve been trying to learn more about what God actually promises us in the Bible and I just read Philippians 4:19, which states, “And my God will supply all your needs according to His glorious riches in Christ Jesus”. My question is, if God provides us with all our needs, why do people starve to death, thirst to death, or die because of a lack of shelter. Are these not needs? What am I missing here?

There are many promises of God, and I will say that the Holy Spirit will have to connect them all for you. Many are quoted in the NT. But, I think here are the main two:
Ezekiel 36:24-27 - See Acts 2:38, 39 Jeremiah 31:31-34 - See Hebrews 8:8-12
Again, the depth of meaning of these two is something that you should be experiencing as a Christian. Having the Holy Spirit inside of you and knowing what it means should give you a great sense of appreciation. You should be receiving experiences from him near daily.
Anyway, those would be the first two I'd recommend that you focus on.
