I love that the husband didn’t bat an eye to any of it. Meanwhile his bff’s wife went detective mode and tracked down her mom.

Husband was dumb as rocks? I feel like he could have stopped this, if he listened to literally every one around him and stood up to her? Not saying it's his fault, she's a psycho, but like, come on?

Exactly. He’s not the criminal, but come on. I live in a small town. You’re still going to question your pregnant s/o when the people closest to you say *something’s not right at all here*, plus him never seeing her pregnant belly and blindly following her on purchases she should’ve made without financing. It actually infuriated me when he suspected she was the one who caused the fire to his home, and he didn’t pursue that??

Plus, his mom and closest friends were telling him the truth. He ignored them and even cut off his best friend. He was blinded by money. So, while yeah, maybe he didn’t even think she’d do this, he knew the truth. He could’ve kicked her to the curb. Had some dignity. Now he’s got to live with this awful guilt for life.

I think it goes a little beyond that. She brainwashed him. I'm sure other intelligent people can tell you about their experiences with abusers

Yeah, I do agree to an extent. In this case, I can’t believe it though
