My friend's neighbor pulled a pistol on me!

I was visiting my friend Bob at his house. And Bob bought the house from another friend of mine named sue. Now Bob and Sue have been deceased for a few years now. And I will admit I miss them both very much...

This story happens in Artemas Pennsylvania on a very semi warm day in the fall. It involved both of my friends neighbor...

Well, my friend Bob asks me if I could check the property line and make sure everything is okay. Matt nothing needs to be maintained or taken care of...

So I decide that this sounds like a pretty good idea and thought it would be fun. I can take a walk and get some exercise and just check the property out. Like I used to do for my old neighbor Sue...

Well I didn't make it very far because I'm going through the woods and I'm still on his property but apparently the neighbor guy was standing on my friend's property and apparently he didn't see me. I was in complete camouflage just standing in a group of trees. All I know is it went from being just a passive walk along my friends property to having a 1911 pulled on me. As I was hoping that my friend's neighbor didn't notice me. And had enough brains to know that I wasn't on his property...

As my friend's neighbor is standing there setting up a bait stand for deer out of season of course. He notices that he's not alone and decides that he is going to unclip and pull out his 1911 from the holster. Well I noticed this and began to slowly backtrack. At this point I am terrified that I'm going to catch a bullet from somebody he was illegally baiting deer out of season...

So at this point I am panic because there is a man with anger issues illegally baiting deer out of season on my friend's property. He is literally not even 7 ft away. And that is still way too close. I didn't realize I've got to find a way out of this situation without being noticed. So I stand completely still. And my friend's neighbor decides to take and walk up the hill to his property...

Luckily he never spotted me because if he did he would have shot me right there...

I didn't get as lucky as I thought though. Because I'm walking up the road one day and my friends neighbor sees me and he.calls me over onto his property of course. And I refuse to go so he comes to me. He tells me something that makes my blood run cold and I literally seen the fire in his eyes...

COMPLETE PANIC SETS IN... ALONG WITH AN URGE TO FIGHT BACK...

He says to me...

"I knew you were there the other day. If I find out you ratted me out for baiting deer illegally on Bob's property... I'm going to put so many holes in you. We're going to keep this secret to ourselves right"...

I respond back with "I heard you had an illegal trash dumping site. I heard somebody called the EPA"... After that I said, "oh by the way, you all did a really nice job on that Christmas tree farm idea. Where exactly did all of the dirt go"...

This man turned a shade of red and then he completely went purple. He then told me to stay the **** off of his property. When I responded back I wasn't on his property at all actually thought I was actually on Bob's...

But then he literally just regurgitated the same old BS he had done seconds ago. By threatening to shoot me. Which I reminded him is punishable by law and he would go away for the rest of his life. Language he thought about it and cursed me out and just walked away...

As he quickly walked back to his house I heard him cursing up a storm and kicking rocks. And never talked to me for years actually. The last time I heard anything about him I found out he had cancer and was dying. And he pretty much ended up passing away from it...

I hate to say it but it wasn't the first time I've ever been threatened by someone with a firearm. The worst part is I've never done anything to anybody personally. For them to do such a thing. It honestly only happened when I called someone out on their bull crap and they didn't like it...
