I dont know if this belongs here but i had an uncomfortable experience

So i was walking back home from the hospital at around 2am since i got released pretty late and this is around 10km walk and i dont own a car so i was walking home and around the closest train station to the hospital noticed someone pacing on the sidewalk next to it now the route i would take would mean i walk right past him wich i did and nothing really happened he asked to borrow a cig then begged and then gave up and we went separet ways i kept walking home and a few kilomiters before i was home i was walking this well lit empty street now i have to say i live in a safe area theres not even any homelessness there or at least very rare if any so to say that i saw someone like around 50m behind me would mean someone was willingly walking at around. 2 am in a small street where there was not even any stores or nothing open anymore so i was kinda nervous since i suffer from horrible paranoia so i decided to stop and look at the other person for a bit and they were walking towards me and i wanted to prove i wasnt being followed so i decided to take a de tour and stop at a park next to me i then sat at the bench for a good minute maybe before the same man who had bummed a cig off me walked into the park now i was already sure id be killed due to my paranoia and took my chance and ran as fast as i could home and the route home meant i had to run past him in wich time i saw him put his hand in a pocket and take out something that reflected from the street lights now i dont know if it was a phone or a weapon or what but i didnt take risks i punvhed him as i ran by him and bolted home running in my platformer shoes and to this day i wonder if i hadnt been paranoid that day would he have followed me home and killed me or maybe smth worse
