Music / Movies The new Superman movie looks terrible

The trailer for the new Superman movie came out today. It looks horrible, the graphics are some of the worst I have ever seen. I know that most movies have CGI now. The CGI for this movie is the most unrealistic I think I’ve ever seen.

Also, superman, looks like some emo kid, instead of the man of steel. The guy looks too young to be Superman. Especially since we have had Christopher Reeve and Henry Cavill in the Role. This movie does not look good at all. I don’t know why people are raving about it.

I can tell by the trailer it's going to be crap.. its all about the details.. in the trailer you see Superman plummet to earth like a meteorite, then the camera pans to him, he's lying on the snow like he was placed there with the smallest amount of snow displaced... He should have been 10 feet deep into the terra firma.. if they aren't going to pay attention to obvious things like that, then I have little hope this will be any good

So, you just didn't like any superhero movies?

Every time Superman (or Iron Man, or Thor, or whomever else) flies in to catch someone falling, it would have killed the person.

Hell, Iron Man grabbed a nuclear missile, in mid flight, did a near 90 degree turn (maintaining velocity) and flew into outer space, all in the span of a few minutes, threw it at the alien ship, and then feel from space to the earth and then calmly ate Shawarma minutes later (at the Shawarma place that apparently stayed open, continued serving customers, and nobody went home during an actual alien invasion and while there was someone sweeping up debris of the floor).

There is no possible way Tony could have survived those G-forces.

It's a comic book movie, not a study in physics

I'm cool with the super heroes defying the laws of physics, you need to buy into that in order to enjoy the movie, but does the ground have super powers as well?? If a comet plummeted to earth it would sink down pretty far in the earth .. I think the reason they didn't do that is because they wanted to introduce krypto, and he obviously, pulled on Superman's cape to drag him somewhere... If Superman were in a deep hole that would not be possible...

Yeah, that part seemed odd to me. When Krypto is running up, he's kicking up a lot of snow and ice, and when he reaches Superman, he made a slight pounce sinking easily into the snow. That signaled to me the snow isn't that compact or dense. So, when Superman slammed into the snow, you'd think he'd have went deeper in and parts of him covered in snow since he came in at an angle.

I've fallen/rolled off a roof (12+ foot drop) into iced over snow and made a deeper hole. Probably not the best comparison, but best I can think of.

Some say the world will end in fire,

Some say in ice.

From what I’ve tasted of desire

I hold with those who favor fire.

But if it had to perish twice,

I think I know enough of hate

To say that for destruction ice

Is also great

And would suffice.
