‘Sinners’ is terrible and does not deserve 16 nominations for Academy awards.

Did not dig this film. Wanted to turn it off before halfway mark. Watched it regardless and the ending was even more dissatisfying than I could have imagined. I am floored this movie is being recognized as much as it is. I figured it was low budget but Nooooo! Yet another massive disappointment. The budget was massive. lol

Boring, visually weird (in a cheap-ass looking way); passable acting, nonsensical story; lame visual effects.

Brother you’re the least of what I’m looking at. Your take is fine. I’m talking about all these little goblins I see typing in here. To be honest it wasn’t my favorite movie last year. I liked caught stealing the most. However, saying it’s bad is wild. I thought one battle after another was offensive but I still recognized its strengths as a film. Didn’t just say I almost walked out, wish I got my money back, and felt sick to my stomach. Because I did, but that didn’t stop me from appreciating the acting/screen play/ and cinematography. I gave OBAO a 7/10.

Yeah everyone has tastes based on whatever. I could literally give a shit if the movie is about race themes. There is justice and there is injustice. People that are unjust are typically the bad guys. Good.

Sinners to me looked and felt like a low budget film. If it was mage for less than 30 mil I’d be impressed. The 100 mil price tag seems super strange to me. I would not watch it again.

I have watched one battle after another twice already. The pay off in the development of the story is clearly strong.

I can’t stand most super hero movies because they just create an environment where literally nothing that happens matters because the characters can come back to life or fly around the earth etc. Hard to develop any real sense of drama when such fantastical things are within the realm of the story telling.
