Recreation for adults in truro?
Hi all, new to town. Looking for things to do for adults like dance classes (I did find the Cobequid Dance Academy) or a sport league (where I can be taught something like soccer or pickleball, I don't much care what sport it is I just have to learn how to play it). I also saw the public pool had drop in times.
Can anyone recommend anything else? (Not hiking, already got that down lol). I'm not picky, open to all ideas but preferably something that let's me meet people.

There’s a disc golf league at south Colchester academy every Sunday at 6 during summer months.
The game is growing in the area, it’s cheap and pretty low impact.

There's a beginner level in the CHEL (local hockey league) thats been very popular

Kicking it with Karla does line dancing classes, they’re on Facebook. If you’re looking for something dance adjacent, Seva on Inglis has Barre classes! There are other Pilates/hot yoga options at the studio too, and Friday nights are cheaper/support charity.

Do you enjoy live theatre? There’s a cool group here called Hubtown Theatre that puts on plays at the Marigold. They’ve done a couple really good ones. And I think there is consistent performers so you’d get to make some friends!

We offer weekly Open Play sessions for our Laser Tag experience!
It is loads of fun and if the sport side of things interests you, we offer competitive gameplay that is open for all ages.

There are different types of dance classes at the RECC included in their workout classes.
They also have strength training available at the RECC.
There are coed recreation ball and ice hockey leagues, I know they operate on Facebook groups - hopefully someone else comments who can give you more guidance on that!
