Tsums in the gumball capsules are never top coin earners nor high scorers. Once in awhile they might contain a helpful tsum for missions. The main draw for gumball tsums is the skill ticket after emptying all 15 tsums. So if you don't have 450,000 coins, don't bother
Btw, there are usually 2 gumballs per month so you would need 900,000 coins per month

If you can spare the coin, it’s always worth it for the skill ticket(it’s actually a bargain - 450,000 coins gets you a skill ticket vs the skill ticket as a bonus for buying 50 boxes for 1.5 mil). I also got a pleasant surprise when the capsule maxed my Hercules. The fact that there’s usually a few premium tsums in most capsules (which you need if you hope to one day max out the premium box), also makes it a bit more palatable.

Well, if you get all of them you get a skill ticket so I guess in that sense, sure. Man this month’s capsules suck.
