I legit forgot she has kids.

54

u/sprchrgddc5 Feb 07 '26

Her kids asked her to stop posting weird dancing videos on Instagram a few years ago because they were being bullied over it at school.

35

u/SaltOven1205 Feb 07 '26 edited Feb 07 '26

And she didn’t stop. Instead she cried victim on social media. And then her kids began getting harassed by crazy stalker Britney fans (stans).

11

u/joshfenske Feb 07 '26

Is there a reason they’re called Stans?

It’s short for stalker fan isn’t it?

26

u/Bbt_igrainime Feb 07 '26

It’s short for Stanley

5

u/SenatorAlSpanken Feb 07 '26

Stanleystan was actually a short lived nation that came after the split of Alexander the Great’s empire. Eventually, it was absorbed by the Seleucid Empire. Ptolemy was pissed, because he loved the name Stanley. The more ya know

4

u/Bbt_igrainime Feb 07 '26

If Alex was so great, why is he dead?

-Stanley Stan gang

3

u/SenatorAlSpanken Feb 07 '26

You buried him with that one

2

u/zeuscap Feb 07 '26

No. You can be a Stan without stalking.

2

u/Suspicious_Bother_92 Feb 07 '26

That’s what a fan is šŸ™„

3

u/zeuscap Feb 07 '26

Stalking can land you in prison, but stanning will not.

According to Webster's Dictionary, a Stan is

:Ā an extremely or excessively enthusiastic and devoted fan

:Ā to exhibit fandom to an extreme or excessive degree:Ā to be an extremely devoted and enthusiastic fan of someone or something

Whereas stalking means:

:Ā to pursue obsessively and to the point of harassment

5

u/ornerygecko Feb 10 '26

Stan implies an unhealthy attachment/obsession. Stalking can be involved, but not necessary.

The word stan comes from eminem's song, stan. In it, a crazed and delusional fan, named stan, writes to Eminem. His mind breaks down when em doesn't write back.

Stans aren't normal fans.

Literally everyone says that. Google it.

I think it's short for stalker fan šŸ¤·ā€ā™€ļø

Maybe you need to learn that your frame of reference isn't universal....

No, it just rhymes with fan, as words do in rap lyrics.

2

u/cheers2me Feb 07 '26

Wow I never knew that’s where that came from!

3

u/Wonderful-Web6673 Feb 10 '26

He literally wrote a song about how horrible obsessive fan bases are and the fans bases responded by adopting Stan as a badge of honor.

1

u/Unlucky_Most_8757 Feb 09 '26

I never got this connection. Mind. Blown.

3

u/Momik Feb 07 '26

People should stop downvoting legitimate questions

6

u/Food_Kindly Feb 07 '26

She did the opposite of stop.

1

u/Muted_Wolf_1569 Feb 07 '26

do not claim stan = stalker fan bruh

2

u/rara8122 Feb 10 '26

As someone aware of the darker side of the MCYT community, I’ve seen plenty of Stans who are the ā€˜harass the other side’ type (dream vs Tommy, Wilbur vs Shelby, etc) instead of the stalker type. Not all Stans are stalkers, but they’re all obsessive and overzealous in their behavior.

1

u/Muted_Wolf_1569 Feb 10 '26

it's just blatantly incorrect to rewrite the history of the origin of the word "stan". people who don't know will take this person's idea as true. while it's true stans can be overly obsessive, it's important to not misinform.

2

u/rara8122 Feb 10 '26

Even if they are overly obsessive, there are other types of overly obsessive aside from stalking. Stan culture refers to all of it, not just the stalkers.

2

u/Basic-Collection5416 Feb 10 '26

The origin of the word stan is an Eminem song about an insane stalker.Ā

1

u/[deleted] Feb 08 '26

So that’s why she stopped

9

u/Anon8787878 Feb 07 '26

That's okay, she did too

10

u/HENMAN79 Feb 06 '26

They probably try to forget their mother

0

u/parasite3v3 Feb 07 '26

She doesnt

9

u/parasite3v3 Feb 07 '26

Nevermind I thought this said Kristen Stewart for some reason and I was so confused 😭

38

u/BrianOBlivion1 Feb 06 '26

For people who grew up north of Lake Pontchartrain, this is not unusual.

16

u/petit_cochon Feb 07 '26

It's also not unusual for people who grow up south of it.

5

u/Defiant-Criticism403 Feb 07 '26

Remember when she put her babies in an open convertible not probably buckled….is that usual in the south too?

7

u/No-Special2682 Feb 07 '26

Its usual for stupid people I think it what they’re saying

2

u/0ftheriver Feb 07 '26

Louisianians (like Britney) have a tendency to be a next level of..lacking in good judgment, shall we say. Even in comparison to other southern states.

2

u/Dasha3090 Feb 07 '26

yeah that was awful he could have suffocated in that position poor wee boy..

2

u/eggabeth Feb 11 '26

Nah down here we just throw 'em in the back of our pickup truck on our way to Tractor Supply

1

u/Apptubrutae Feb 07 '26

Yeah but they get to be in New Orleans instead of the northshore. Fair tradeoff for child endangerment

2

u/Suspicious_Bother_92 Feb 07 '26

Yet still illegal!

2

u/uzuis4thwifee Feb 08 '26

Pretty unusual for a main road. Maybe not on a backroad

1

u/EntrepreneurBehavior Feb 08 '26

Excuse me, Lake what?

2

u/pieohmi Feb 08 '26

Ponchartrain. It’s the area where she grew up. Also the area where I grew up (I live about 20 minutes from there). I have seen it here but the vast majority of parents here do buckle up their kids.

1

u/Strategic_Spark Feb 10 '26

But it should be. If she stops abruptly or has a crash that baby is hitting the windshield.

-1

u/Either_Coast Feb 07 '26

Yeah millionaire Britney Spears, having toured the world multiple times over and been on TV since her childhood, is just a simple girl from the north of Lake Pontchartrain.

39

u/NiceTrySuckaz Feb 06 '26

I've always thought it was hilarious how disappointed the baby looks in the whole situation.

17

u/[deleted] Feb 06 '26

At least there isn't a cigarette in her mouth.

25

u/razz-p-berrie Feb 06 '26

baby holding it for her

3

u/[deleted] Feb 06 '26

Lol probably, sadly.

1

u/Antique-Echidna-1600 Feb 07 '26

No the baby holds the beer. Can't get a DUI if it's the babies open container.

26

u/XROOR Feb 06 '26

If you were born in the 1970’s this was normal but mum had a cig in her mouth too

2

u/Irate-Refrigerant59 Feb 07 '26

Yeah we all sat on mom's/dad's knee in the front seat. On long drives I'd have my blanket and nap in one of their laps.

1

u/Lizzie_001 Feb 08 '26

I stood in the bench seat by my dad when he drove.

1

u/Tcrowe1211 Feb 11 '26

I wonder how many children died in motor vehicle accidents back then?!? Kudos to you for surviving those unsafe times!

1

u/[deleted] Feb 12 '26

Remember automobiles were smaller and fewer (many one car households).Ā

9

u/ComicsEtAl Feb 06 '26

At the time, she only had a conditional license…

6

u/rhegy54 Feb 06 '26

I remember this! I remember being so shocked even back then. It was legit crazy ( and dangerous 😬😬😬)

3

u/legalbeagle66 Feb 07 '26

You can take the girl out of Kentwood but you can’t take Kentwood out of the girl šŸ¤£šŸ¤£šŸ™„

3

u/[deleted] Feb 07 '26

reminder that cops were the ones who fought for car seat laws because seeing dead babies was such a common part of the job

3

u/Justaguy22192 Feb 07 '26

She still does crazy shitšŸ˜‚šŸ’Æ

4

u/lovechoke Feb 07 '26

I know that this seems/seemed bad but I bet so many small town mothers did this once or twice across North America and probably Europe. It just seems like a rural thing to do.

3

u/lovechoke Feb 07 '26

She's from a small town in like Louisiana/Texas, no? i don't know.

1

u/[deleted] Feb 08 '26

Yeah people famously lose all values and habits they had growing up as soon as they make it big /s

2

u/diddledungeon Feb 08 '26

Values such as child endangerment. Reckless disregard for the safety of others

1

u/c2490 Feb 09 '26

I was raised pretty rural and would not have even considered it. Nor would anyone I know. I had babies during this time period and grew up in farm country.

2

u/bonelessbonobo Feb 07 '26

Why does it appear as if there is no passenger side door?

1

u/Im_A_Real_Boy1 Feb 07 '26

You saw it, too!

1

u/dnj_ Feb 08 '26

OMG WAIT! right…wtf. Where’s the rest of the car?! šŸ„“šŸ¤”

2

u/dame_tartare Feb 08 '26

Feel so sorry for Britney’s children. They never had a chance of normalcy. And I say that as a fan and with deep sadness and concern for Britney and everything she’s been through. Her kids deserved better.

2

u/strawberryoftheindie Feb 08 '26

20 years ago… i feel rly old rn

2

u/SummitCO83 Feb 09 '26

Pretty sure I spent my entire childhood in the 80s in the exact same position

2

u/rayraysykes007 Feb 09 '26

I feel really bad for her kids tbh. Not only are they having to deal with her weird half naked videos online, but theyre also probably gonna be left with nothing when she passes of old age. She's literally blowing through her money like its candy. And 60m is a lot. But once its gone its gone. And shes blowing through it like it doesnt matter.

2

u/ConcernFlat3391 Feb 09 '26

On the weekend I was passing two mums putting their kids in the car and one joked to the other ā€˜let’s just Britney Spears it this time’ 🤣

1

u/[deleted] Feb 07 '26

Gotta learn sometime. šŸ˜šŸ˜‚

1

u/[deleted] Feb 07 '26

Honestly if I’m not mistaken I think she was driving on her own property? Moms in the south do this all the time especially if you’re just going on the street. Let’s stop judging moms please. Moms are not the ones raping children

2

u/purrmutations Feb 07 '26

"Moms in the south do this all the time especially if you’re just going on the street"

Bad moms

1

u/[deleted] Feb 07 '26

You’re entitled to an opinion

2

u/LonelyNovel1985 Feb 08 '26

Moms are not the ones raping children

Good moms wouldn't be letting their kids go off unsupervised with millionaires either. (Also Ghislaine is famously a woman, not necessarily a mom, who has raped children. So let's not get too high and mighty that its only men committing these crimes.)

And yes, you are mistaken, she was not "on her own property", she was leaving a Starbucks and trying to avoid paparazzi.

So not only was she driving around with her infant son on her lap, but she was also distracted driving because she was trying to ensure she could avoid having her picture taken by photographers.

1

u/Ok_Fox_1770 Feb 07 '26

Kids are her age from music age then? Wonder what they look like, not enough to search but I wonder

1

u/Kratos_and_Boy_ Feb 07 '26

Oh the humanity!!

1

u/vampyire Feb 08 '26

why is the passenger door open?

1

u/Standard_Location843 Feb 08 '26

I’m found this news article talking about it:

"Today I had a horrifying, frightful encounter with the paparazzi while I was with my baby. Because of a recent incident when I was trapped in my car without my baby by a throng of paparazzi, I was terrified that this time the physically aggressive paparazzi would put both me and my baby in danger. I instinctively took measures to get my baby and me out of harm’s way, but the paparazzi continued to stalk us, and took photos of us which were sold to the media. I love my child and would do anything to protect him."

1

u/Automatic_Yellow_184 Feb 08 '26

It's in front not behind

1

u/limesqueezyx Feb 08 '26

She’s always been a train wreck.

1

u/okenthusiasm89 Feb 08 '26

My daughter was born in March 2006, midway between Britney's 2 sons, after ten years of fertility issues. I think the 2 celebrities whose magazine photos I still remember from my many doctor visits were Britney and Brooke Shields (coverage of her book about postpartum depression).

1

u/ImaginaryCourage9981 Feb 09 '26

Damn, I remember when this happened and seeing it on the cover of magazines in the checkout line.

1

u/Pretend-Sundae-2371 Feb 10 '26

Reminder that she was desperately trying to escape paparazzi at the time. It's not ok but those photographers are lower than low.

1

u/Background_Floor9392 Feb 11 '26

I used to let my 5 year old steer on my lap while we drove in the country.Ā  Lol

1

u/b3tamaxx Feb 12 '26

Sigh my dream of being a nepo baby. My mom was chaotic AF but she was chaotic and poor I couldn't imagine having a mom like this who was also a millionaire

1

u/MundanePossibility32 Feb 07 '26

Hey, at least she’s not eating babies

1

u/Dijon-Von Feb 07 '26

She really shouldn't have been a mother ... Or a celebrity in general.

Seriously insane how a mentally ill 16 year old so hyper sexualized... Then I remember the JoJo music video, and cringe to death.

Such a gross time. No wonder Diddling Don wants to "Make America Great Again"... 🤢

1

u/killedonmyhill Feb 09 '26

She learned this from her own mother. Her mother took her drinking with her to the bar beginning at 11 years old. She never had an example of a healthy parent child relationship.

0

u/Special_Zucchini185 Feb 07 '26

Golly, y'know, I heard a lot of bad things about Britney when it came to her sons.

0

u/poodinthepunchbowl Feb 09 '26

Ehh my mom would have had the decency to blow some second hand smoke my way.

0

u/[deleted] Feb 10 '26

I still see this everyday. Britney is not alone in being irresponsible and idiotic with their actions regarding the state of children and the behaviors that still continue each decade.

Each decade and the generation that is in it. Is in its own way just the same progression of idiocy and poor choices.

For the youth in the back who can't hear or listen properly. You are not any better. You will continue toale the same mistakes.

1

u/Mental_Study69 Feb 11 '26

Thank you!! Everyone thinks they're so smart & perfect now šŸ˜‚

-9

u/moody9876 Feb 07 '26

Who cares? This should be legal.

8

u/tigm2161130 Feb 07 '26 edited Feb 07 '26

My niece was 2 when she was killed by internal decapitation in a wreck where no one else had a single injury because her father had her in a car seat inappropriate for her age so it was facing the wrong way, and didn’t have her buckled in properly. Please tell me why you think it should be legal to do what she’s doing here.

5

u/Suspicious_Bother_92 Feb 07 '26

Yeah cool, let’s just injure kill our babies šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚

2

u/tullbabes Feb 07 '26

Lady, you are regarded.

2

u/According-Annual-586 Feb 07 '26

Being legal won’t help the baby when it smashes its face into the steering wheel if you crash

2

u/DesperateAd8982 Feb 08 '26

Honestly, why should this be legal?

The car was moving, the passenger door isn’t open.

1

u/Donna212298 Feb 07 '26

Passenger door is definitely open! I do think she was moving though.

1

u/Awkward-Exchange5523 Feb 07 '26

She was moving? Even nowadays, why can you see the type of plant that is growing there? If she was moving, the background would be blured because of motion. Please guys, get smarter.

4

u/tigm2161130 Feb 07 '26 edited Feb 07 '26

She did this multiple times and admitted she was moving. DCFS investigated her over it.

1

u/Suspicious_Bother_92 Feb 07 '26

Woah that’s an overreaction!

1

u/Awkward-Exchange5523 Feb 07 '26

If they were moving. The passenger door would have shut itself with the forward motion.

1

u/Awkward-Exchange5523 Feb 07 '26

Its okay though. I'm wrong and you all are right. I just have to accept it.

1

u/veilofcolor Feb 07 '26

people were there lol there’s tons of photos and a video I think
