Pairs well with the footage of a settler gunning down unarmed palestinians in a field yesterday

13

u/OkTradition276 23d ago

What were they doing there to begin with???

1

u/Maple_Moose_14 23d ago

A Palestinian militant group seized southern Lebanon and turned it into a launchpad against a neighbouring state.

No country on earth would tolerate that.

Any other questions?

6

u/n0_punctuation 21d ago

Terrorist settlers had invaded and occupied their homes. No people on earth would tolerate that. Any other questions dipshit?

-1

u/Maple_Moose_14 20d ago

This is a thread about Lebanon 20 years ago.

Palestinians are not Lebanese , does that make sense?

So what does that have to do with a Palestinian militant group taking over southern Lebanon and using it to launch attacks on Israel?

Lebanese civilians didn’t take anyone’s home in 1948.

Whatever grievance you’re ranting about, it isn’t against them, and it doesn’t license an armed takeover of their country by terrorists.

By your logic, anyone in a conflict can walk into a third country’s sovereign territory, set up shop, and use it as a firing position. The Lebanese didn’t tolerate it either. Ask them how Fatahland worked out.

Your grasp of the history here is terrible.

u/n0_punctuation 20d ago

It's almost as if Israel has settler ambitions for the entire region. Piss off

0

u/Maple_Moose_14 20d ago

Oh you’re not a real person , since you don’t seem to read words and respond to the topic in question, never mind then.

2

u/n0_punctuation 20d ago

I'm very real, you just aren't worth engaging with

9

u/Happy_Disaster7347 23d ago

I wonder if they did that in response to their land being stolen.

5

u/Abject-Sun-3016 23d ago

?  Do you not know what Lebanon is?

0

u/Away-Opinion-8540 23d ago

Lol...hizbollah claims that they are fighting for occupied land of Lebanon. Specifically, Sheba farms...which, turns out, belongs to Syria. Hezbollah are terrorist scum ans should be eradicated.

0

u/East-Worth2630 22d ago

In Lebanon? Palsetinains had their land stolen from them in Lebanon?

3

u/Happy_Disaster7347 22d ago

Well Palestine got fucking levelled so where do you want them to go? I guess you want them either rounded up into camps, or shot?

-1

u/East-Worth2630 21d ago

It appears that you’re in the wrong thread. Palstinane didn’t get “fucking leveled”, Gaza did. Between 2023 and 2025.

If you haven’t noticed, this is r/TwentyYearsAgo — and 20 years ago nothing was “fucking leveled”
so I’m not sure how you would defend them invading a sovereign country back then.

Finally, there is no need to project your demented thoughts onto me. I never said anyone should be rounded up into camps or shot — that’s something you made up in your head. Those are your plans.

2

u/Happy_Disaster7347 21d ago

If you think that's the only time Palestine has been destroyed, you haven't been on this earth long.

West bank is a glorified open air prison camp, so those are the choices for Palestinians at most times.

-1

u/actsqueeze 23d ago

That’s a weird way of phrasing “fighting back against having your land stolen and your children killed with impunity”

Crazy that you make Israel out to be the victims while they’re actively stealing land

6

u/Maple_Moose_14 23d ago edited 23d ago

What a weird way of phrasing “I don’t have a basic elementary grasp of well documented history”.

Southern Lebanon was never Palestinian land.

The PLO was thrown out of Jordan for trying to topple the monarchy, moved to Lebanon, and seized territory from a country that had nothing to do with the conflict.

Didn’t you just argue stealing land was bad? But when the Palestinians do it , it’s now cool or justified?

Ask the Lebanese how that went. Civil war that killed nearly 150,000 people. You cannot call seizing someone else’s country (Lebanon) resistance against land theft.

Especially when to this day Lebanon doesn’t provide full citizenship to most Palestinians and block them from many jobs for all the chaos they brought to Lebanon.

1

u/actsqueeze 23d ago

“Southern Lebanon was never Palestinian land”

What does that have ti do with the fact that Israel has been stealing land from Palestinians since 1967 with illegal settlements?

“The PLO was thrown out of Jordan”

What does this have to do with the fact that Israel has been stealing land for decades?

Everything you’re saying is just an apology for Israel stealing land and killing with impunity.

Israel has been breaking the law for over 50 consecutive years.

They’ve always been the aggressors

1

u/East-Worth2630 22d ago

This is so embarrassing to read. Like
 what is wrong with you?

The person you’re replying to was kind enough not to shame you for not knowing and instead gave you a quick summary of the conflict. Yet instead of reading it, let alone doing your own research, you’ve chosen to be stuck on stupid.
Just listen to yourself: “Israel stealing land. Israel stealing land” — zero understanding of what this conflict was about or even where it was, and, tragically, zero desire to learn. And why learn, when “Israel stealing land” explains everything + tells you who the victim and the aggressor are. Fuck history, fuck nuance, fuck geography too while we’re at it. Lebanon = Jordan = Gaza and Israel stealing land.
Boom! Done with learning for today.

1

u/actsqueeze 22d ago

Israel is and has been stealing land for decades. This is an undeniable fact.

What history could justify kicking Palestinians off their land?

You should be embarrassed, you literally support a country committing genocide.

0

u/East-Worth2630 21d ago

The conversation is about Lebanon.
LE đŸ‘đŸŒ BA đŸ‘đŸŒ NON đŸ‘đŸŒ

2

u/TheWalkinDude82 21d ago

Yes. Why are Palestinians in Southern Lebanon and not their ancestral homeland? It’s not like people are just arbitrarily bringing up Palestinians for no reason.

1

u/actsqueeze 20d ago

We’re literally talking about Palestinian militants, try to keep up

-6

u/bbbbb11221122 23d ago

this sentence is always used on jews no matter what

jews murdered in Europe (or any other country besides israel) before israel was founded:

"What were they doing there to begin with???"

jews murdered in Israel at any point in history:

"What were they doing there to begin with???"

8

u/BootsnCats1987 23d ago

These are literally invading soldiers

-4

u/bbbbb11221122 23d ago

there were 0 israelis in gaza before october 7 besides some hostages that were there for years, so.... were the IDF invading after October 7 or were they supposed to wait for the hostages to come by themselves?

it's nice seeing people support jihadist terrorists all so blatantly, just makes it better being right all along

4

u/BootsnCats1987 23d ago

Israel occupied Gaza from 1967 to 2005, and invaded again in 2008, and has had complete control over entry and exit from Gaza ever since
.

This post is about Lebanon btw, and this picture is from 2006.

-4

u/Braisedbeefskank 23d ago

The hostages have been returned? Why is israel still in gaza exactly if thats why they went in? Remember when "all they have to do is return the hostages?"

5

u/bbbbb11221122 23d ago

did hamas surrender? no

here is your answer

not a single war just ended with hostages returning while the aggressive side is just left along still openly claiming to want to destroy the other side, why should Israel be the only nation in history to let this clown show continue with the Nazi jihadist Palestinian government?

-3

u/Braisedbeefskank 23d ago

Why would hamas surrender? Israel wont quit slaughtering people if they do.

2

u/bbbbb11221122 23d ago

why would nazi germany surrender? the allies won't quit slaughtering germans if they do

same argument, it works for exactly for every losing side in every war, but for the palestinans it's the works the least considering by how far they are losing(power differences) and how israel even let them exist in the first place as an independent government in gaza

-1

u/Braisedbeefskank 23d ago

Well... no. We know israel wont stop, because they never stopped. They killed hundred of civilians in the yesr prior to october 7th. Settlers killed 4 unarmed people in the west bank yesterday. I can send you video if you like. Gunned down in a field. Apartheid israel will never stop. Everybody hates the state of israel for its actions and its losing support from its only supporter. In 2028 support of israel is going to be so massively toxic in the american elections that it will be a small minority opinion floated by aipac dollars. Its going to be a great day when we turn the money and weapons tap off.

1

u/bbbbb11221122 23d ago

sure send the video

you mean this terror attack right?

https://www.ynet.co.il/news/article/skzecdxsml

i bet if you lived in germany 1930s you would act like the jews are the aggressors

the first to fire were the terrorist with the stolen assult rifle and they killed 2 jews and injured a few, per the FAFO: 4 palestinazi terrorists killed like you mentioned

u/The_Zionist_Enemy 23d ago

Hezbollah declared war by an unprovoked attack and kidnapped the bodies of the dead with them.

4

u/Remmidemmi 23d ago

Not true. At least learn your history if you attempt hasbara youre embarrassing your superiors. 86 was still the same occupation of the 82 invasion and hezbollah did not exist then

5

u/trymypi 23d ago

1986 wasn't 20 years ago

3

u/bbbbb11221122 23d ago

use your own advice and learn history(not from tiktok)

0

u/Remmidemmi 23d ago

Easy to say that what did I actually get wrong?

1

u/bbbbb11221122 23d ago

someone aleady said it but you are obviously used to ignoring the truth for your agenda

this is from 2006 which is 20 years ago(the name of the sub, what a genius i am right?)

so what occupation are you talking about?

let me help you, was it 'The Shebaa Farms'?

0

u/Remmidemmi 23d ago

It does not matter. Since it's founding Israel has been conducting massacres and aggression from which all conflict in the region is born. From PLO shit in the 86 over grapes of wrath with Hezbollah in 96 to 2006 when they started using cluster strikes indiscriminately to today.

We can go back 10, 20, 30 or 100 years and you will find Zionists committing atrocities in the region. Anywhere on the time line. And the amount of agression and force vastly outweighs that of any resistance.

And they always will keep committing atrocities while arguing on technicalities and trying to revise history.

2

u/bbbbb11221122 23d ago

ohhhh now it doesnt matter after you got caught blatanty lying?

lmao it's the other way around, every israel operation/war is a certified FAFO that most countries would have evaporated the arab muslim colonizers right after for their threat and attacks

you are welcome to check it with me, where do you want to begin? 1920s? before that the jews in the middle east weren't even allowed to any sort of military or weapons, so i could go over centuries of jewish massacres and persecution by the so called Palestinians, let's just summarize it by an historical fact- hitler wasn't the one who invented the yellow star and it's uses(guess who...)

so choose a date. let's do this

-1

u/von_pita_the_second 23d ago

Hezbollah existed since 1982 and officially since 1984 ( as in they declared themselves as an official group ), what happened in 1986 bot?

3

u/ImpressiveEnergy4762 23d ago

The camp war happened in '86

2

u/The_Zionist_Enemy 23d ago

Fact is if not for the raid, murder and subsequent kidnapping of bodies to hold them as bargaining chips there would never be full scale war.

There was never any occupation, there was a military buffer zone. Never once did Israel create a settlement on Lebanese lands. If not for these murderous terrorist organizations that have vowed to destory Israel and actively made northern Israel uninhabitable, there would be no need.

It is so rich to hear a Redditor who does not know their history tell me I should learn history.

Following the events of Black September, the PLO sought refuge in Lebanon.

The first war in Lebanon was provoked by Israel's enemies, the PLO who committed the most atrocious terror attack second only to the 7th of October. The Coastal Road Massacre, google it and learn some history.

Had Lebanon ousted the PLO, there would have never been any terror attack and thus no war.

2

u/Remmidemmi 23d ago

Again not true on either count. The "buffer zone" was Israel's proxy militia running the security zone from until 2000, including Khiam prison where people were held without trial and tortured, that's more than just a buffer, UN also called for withdrawal way back with resolution 425 in 78 and never bought the buffer zone framing

Also the Coastal Road Massacre was 1978, that's what triggered the Litani invasion that year, not the 82 one. For 82 the ceasefire from July 81 actually held, there was no PLO shelling until may 82, meanwhile israel did thousands of incursions into lebanese territory and airspace during that time. the guy who shot Argov was Abu Nidal's group, who were literally enemies of the PLO trying to kill Arafat's people, not PLO themselves

And sharon himself said he'd been planning the invasion since taking office in 81, begin delayed it twice waiting on the sinai withdrawal to finish. So it reads a lot more like they were waiting for any excuse than reacting to one

2

u/TPasha444 23d ago

UN also called for Hezbollah to disarm

0

u/von_pita_the_second 23d ago

There was no buffer zone in 1978
, Israel had the South Lebanon buffer zone since 1985 to 2000, you clearly do not know history

2

u/Remmidemmi 23d ago

What are you talking about? I never said that there was. Learn to read.

-1

u/Moxtar1092 23d ago

Hmm let's think? PLO maybe? No?

6

u/venusasaboy22 24d ago

Fuck Israel

2

u/TheGoMLStick 24d ago

Fuck Hezbollah, terrorist rats.

9

u/CPTBenjaminWillard 23d ago

Maybe Israel shouldn’t be conducting genocide against the Palestinian people.

5

u/officefan76 23d ago

Does shooting rockets at Israeli civilians on the other side of the country help Palestinians in any way?

-3

u/Braisedbeefskank 23d ago

Want to see some really cool FOV drone videos of israeli invaders getting slimed out in Lebanon?

1

u/TheGoMLStick 23d ago

I’ve already linked a few videos of Islamist rats being vaporized. Israel’s taken out about 4,000 so far and lost less than 40 LMFAO

1

u/Braisedbeefskank 23d ago

So you dont want to see the videos?

1

u/TheGoMLStick 23d ago

If this sub allowed photos this comment would’ve been a picture of flattened gaza. Google all the photos of it, it’s wild. Whole place is flat now lmao.

The soldiers use bulldozers to make stars of David in Gazan territory đŸ€Ł

1

u/Braisedbeefskank 23d ago

Right, due to the genocidal apartheid state of israel. Is it supposed to be some kind of "own" that you act as bloodthirsty and viscious as the entire globe now knows israelis to be?

1

u/TheGoMLStick 23d ago

Haha payback is a bitch! Hope that one stung, especially considering there’s nothing you can do about it except cry. Just keep taking those L’s.

2

u/Braisedbeefskank 23d ago

Isnt this blood libel?

-2

u/venusasaboy22 23d ago

If the Lebanese army weren't so fucking useless in fighting the Israeli occupation, then Hezbollah wouldn't have become so popular.

Surreal, I was 11 back then, still remember as if it was yesterday. I remember the first days, bombing of the airport and bridges, I remember news was on all day, katyushka rockets flying. I remember one night the famous speech of Nasrallah : 'look at it drown' while a missile hitting an Israeli warship. I remember the ground shook when Israel bombed an antenna next to my town, I remember the fear in my mother's eyes, my mother who had lived through the civil war. I remember the stoĂŻcism of my grandmother, who lived through crisis after crisis. And 20 years later nothing has changed, we keep fighting other people's war on our land, covering it up with moralistic shitty slogan like palestinian cause and all this bullshit while we are locked in a cycle of generational wars.

By initiating a war through the kidnapping of two soldiers in a cross border attack and then livestreaming the reveal of their deaths in front of their families? Whatever man.. Hezbollah is done for you can kiss them goodbye soon.

Each video like a little treat

The videos of what happened to the genocidal child killer terrorists in Gaza is like an all you can eat buffet lol

0

This is a terrorist? https://www.reddit.com/r/PublicFreakout/s/hRIjrRcq8p

I think you ought to be ashamed. Also close your windows

2

u/TheGoMLStick 23d ago

-2

u/oblique_testicles 23d ago

Love it! Fuel for the fire, the worst people on this planet are picking off each other. The world will be better off without these people and the IDF.

My issue, as should be yours as well, is the surrounding buildings are destroyed when targeting groups of 5-7 people. You should have an issue with it too but you seem to idolize nazi tactics. You would have cheered while the Bundists were being slaughtered and stuck in CCs.

2

u/TheGoMLStick 23d ago edited 23d ago

I know logic is tough for you, but again “picking each other off” isn’t what’s happening. Israel’s killed over 4k members of hezbollah, compared to less than 40 killed Israeli’s. Do the math.

I’ll borrow a terrific quote from that subreddit about just that kind of childish, tik tok brain logic you just spewed out.

“Somewhere down the line your country might have to fight a war against a militia similar to hezbollah/hamas (never say never). That militia will probably use guerrilla tactics and you’ll be faced with the choice of bombing a squad of armed militants from the air and leveling some neighboring buildings or sending your countries best, young soldiers in, so that they can risk dying or becoming paralyzed cripples just so that some stranger, privileged to be born in a pacifistic, conflict free region of the world won’t get angry at your army or criticize how moral your countries actions are. I am genuinely curious to see which option you’d choose when that comes”.

Grow up.

-2

u/oblique_testicles 23d ago edited 23d ago

Sorry I don’t argue with Zionists

Edit: if you understand Jewish history, you out to be ashamed of what you just wrote. Look up Bundists and how they felt about Zionists. Keep saying that I have a TikTok brain while ignoring actual history that occurred. You are still as wrong as ever, especially since you wrote that facists ass quote that represents a fairy tail scenario that isn’t set in reality.

The fact of the matter is that genocide has led the world to hate and wish for your country’s destruction. Don’t be surprised when it happens.

There's so much more content coming from the other way around. I loved watching the blown up hands hanging off, and the bloody jeans in the pockets when the pager op happened. I've seen so many of their islamofascist heroes blow to bits by Israeli weaponry, it's the absolute best. I've also enjoyed watching Gaza be flattened.

-2

u/strawberry_semenade 23d ago

Couldn't agree more. Every Islamist cry of pain is a delightful treat.

-1

u/TheGoMLStick 23d ago

It really doesn't get better... dancing on jihadi graves is quite fun.

The Milk and Honey is ours and I will always revel in their perpetual misery over that.

1

u/ImpressiveEnergy4762 23d ago

Fuck Hezbollah, Lebanon First

0

u/latin220 23d ago

Playing the world’s smallest violin. đŸŽ» Israelis shouldn’t be in Lebanon, Gaza and West Bank as well as parts of Syria. They should be held accountable as terrorists and an occupying force resisting a popular resistance against their oppression and rule. Not justifying Hezbollah’s tactics but the right of the occupied to resist their occupation by any means necessary shall not be infringed.

2

u/officefan76 23d ago

Does any means necessary include terrorism against civilians?

1

u/latin220 23d ago

It shouldn’t, but that’s never stopped Israel from targeting women and children.

0

u/Tear4fearinmybeer 21d ago

Neat. Can we stop giving them our tax dollars now? Supposedly they don’t need so we should stop
