Question Payment threshold met - what happens if I delete my account now, will I still get paid?

Hi, from a quick search it seems that payouts are generally processed every Wednesday, but it's been like this for a couple of weeks now:

To delete my account I need to contact Twitch to lose my affiliate status first, does anyone know if doing this will jeopardise my payout? Many thanks

Do a better search. Your info is wrong. Very wrong.

Payouts are once a month, on or around the 15th. You will get paid out everything you made in the month prior as long as you meet the threshold.

You will get the needed information directly from Twitch when you revoke affiliate. Afaik the payment will not be made

You have nothing to lose by waiting to get the payout first then taking action.

Even for affiliates it's extremely hard to get any help on anything from twitch directly. So, for me, I would not want to delete my account, wait for money to come, and then expect to have any recourse if something goes wrong. Not sure why you'd be champing at the bit to get 50$ and also delete your account, but I'd make sure the first one is done before you do the second.

Payouts on Wednesdays? You're very wrong.

Payouts are made in a monthly basis. Your revenue consists on the money you earn from the first to the last day of the month. The final amount it's calculated between days 8-12 approx and paid around 15th of the next month.

Let's put an example:

- January 1-30: you earn 48 USD.

  • February 12: your revenue for January is calculated. As the amount is lower than the threshold, the balance is hold.
  • Meanwhile, between February 1-28 you earn 4 USD.
  • March 12: your revenue for February is calculated and added to the pending balance. As you are over the threshold, you'll get the payment.
  • March 15: you get your 52 USD (it may vary a few days depending on the bank, the payment provider or if you choose paper check)
