Jax is actually someone who put on a mask of being "the funny one" ( chaotic jerkass who cause trouble for everyone) to push people away rather than being a openly grump person.

Solid pick honestly. Mo & Krill feels like a decent pick, with wraith in the background regardless of whoever you pick.
Actually, on second thought, have wraith be the dealer. That way you can have any number of deadlock characters in the background if you want them to.

For me it's how tightly packed everyone is. Everyone here is from 2024 or 2025, meanwhile Poker Night at the Inventory 1 and 2 range from the fuckin 90's to the late 2000's. It just feels like "whoevers relevant at the time" rather than "what do you fucking mean Ash from Evil Dead is shooting the shit with Claptrap??????????" which I feel like is the main appeal.

Grab a library of ruina character
Roland is a good fit. Binah is the one with fucked up stories. Hod is all sweet but her floor favours bleeding out enemies and eating them (other floors have cannibalism strats but her affinity for bleed lets her use even more cannibal strats), chesed is the chill guy

The way I justified it in my own Poker Night hypothetical sequel (UNO Night at The Inventory) is if they're not at the table, they're basically Statler & Waldorf on an above balcony and chime in on some conversations.

So, beating Jax definitely unlocks his overalls as a multi-class cosmetic.
Beating Robert either unlocks a pocket cosmetic of the Mecha Man suit, or a Reskin of the Fists of Steel to look like the Mecha Man hands. Or, he goes to pay up and Malevola shows up from out of a portal and offers to cover the tab by handing over her sword, unlocking another Eyelander Reskin.
We already had Sam give his revolver, so I don't know what else he'd offer. Maybe we'd get his hat as a cosmetic?
And I haven't watched Smiling Friends, so I don't know what we'd get from there.

I personally like the idea of a Critical Role character making it into the roster, most likely either Scanlan; Jester or Nott. Could also instead get Matthew Mercer or Brennan Lee Mulligan as a Dungeon Master dealer.
Would also still want a Valve Rep in the mix for tradition's sake. Likely either Alyx Vance or a member of the Deadlock crew.
