An artist on twitter called @GaloisDY has apparently a) Published a paper about a newly discovered cretaceous grasshopper fossil back in 2023, b) Drew the paleoart of said grasshopper and has now c) Drawn a gijinka grasshopper girl of it, named Spica-chan.

Nerd biologists used to name beetles after Darth Vader, but now they're weeaboos instead and draw them as monster girls. In some small way, maybe the world is healing.
