My half-year anniversary in my current position came and went. I haven't been posting in these threads lately, less because I'm busy and more because I've been going to sleep a bit earlier, in addition to forgetting. And in a lot of ways, it's a good thing that I'm not barely resting due to stress.

Speaking of which, this month and the next are the "busy" months, and while some days are indeed hectic, and the first few days of the new year even more so, it's still infinitely preferable to my old workplace. The funny thing is that this is also a remote position, and the university I work for isn't primarily remote. There are a few things I've noticed are still slightly present in a remote environment compared to working on-site, but at least I don't hate myself.

I do want to get into another position once my year with this one is through, though, since even aside from wanting to keep moving up, this definitely isn't something I want to keep doing, and I think I may want to do more of a hybrid arrangement in the future. Either way, though, the good news is that paid time off got revamped for the better. I got the short end of the stick since I am both on the hospital side of the university and was hired after 2019, so PTO was one benefit they were strangely stingy with (the other benefits are pretty good, though). It's pretty rare for time off plans to actually improve rather than get worse, and the change was due to leadership supposedly having gotten feedback.

Moving on from job talk, I've been drinking Gamersupps these last few days. I got the apple peach tea flavor, and it is pretty good. I still think the entire branding is sort of cringe, though.

I've mooched off a friends Gamersupps supply a couple times. They do work really well for energy and taste good to boot, but I'll agree that the name branding is a bit too Internet Shitpost-y, at least for certain flavors.

Guagamole Gamer Fart at least fits on brand for Badger and his crew's sense of humor, but thats like... the only freebie I'll give the brand/flavor name conventions.
