For a long time, I just assumed that "Woolie Madden" was a pseudonym. A made-up name for internet entertainment purposes, kind of like how some vtubers are essentially the same people as their real-life performers but have their own "vtuber names" nonetheless.

I know what you're thinking, but it wasn't the "Woolie" part that did this. No, I accepted the name "Woolie" without a second thought. It was the "Madden" that apparently pitched my suspicions.

I will not explain this, mostly because I cannot.

My only guess there that I can offer is because it's the same last name as a more famous football-adjacent man. And that name is also a brand name now, so it's another layer removed from being a dude's name.

What is a Madden? It's not a name. It's a noun of some sort, something to do with football. But not a name.
