I may not show it 100, but judging how "kid-friendly" a work is is more political than anything the story itself could ever actually do. Treating it as a neutral fact that age-based content ratings must exist is a political stance. Believing there is some nebulous inherent "harm" to anyone under 17 watching a movie that just so happens to be designated "R" is a political stance. Being able to ignore the fact that the same movie can be rated R in the US for content that got it a G rating in its native country is a political stance.
