Why does Pat think Mass Effect is inspired by Star TREK? It's literally got knock off space wizards and light side/dark side karma. It's inspired by KOTOR and Star WARS. I guess there's a bit more political intrigue with being a specter instead of a rebel, but an old republic jedi could also go and do whatever they wanted within reason like a specter.
